Informed and easy to understand. Packed with advice
Whilst steroids are often hailed as a wonder drug, they aren’t without side effects. For patients required to take even relatively low amounts over a long period, the side effects can cause other serious health problems. This book sets out in clear and easy to understand language the benefits and the downside. There’s general advice on how to cope with such things as weight gain, mood change and other lifestyle changes. Although American, the advice. Is universal. It’s written by a medic whose sister was prescribed steroids, so it’s based on real life experience and an informed viewpoint. A lot of really useful advice and this is a book I’d have no hesitation in recommending if you have to take any steroid for more than a few days.

Was ok but thought it would offer more advice
The book is ok it helped a little but was very much about the authors experience I wish she had broadened it out more it helps to a certain extent but is limited to the authors specific experience so you could probably just search the Internet chat rooms for advice.

Interesting Read
An interesting useful read to a degree but I would agree with a previous reviewer that it is a bit basic.Good for a newly diagnosed who has been prescribed prednisone.
