It’s still pretty warm here in Oklahoma. We have some late season bees still around. I kept finding them in my Coca-Cola and I didn’t want them taking acid and caffeine back to the hive. It’s a perfect fit for my needs and the bees love it.

Do NOT BUY THESE WATERERS. Unless careful they separate and dump contents everywhere. Then the tray never fills with any solution even after all modifications mentioned below. Seating the cup to the base requires about 1/8” to be removed from about 1/2 inch of the lip of the cup. This 1/8” also required a slot to be made for water to be slightly available. More would have to be removed for 2/1 sugar/water syrup to slightlyAlso, I removed the pin closest to the cup so there’s a chance that bees will drown. After 2 hours I am still not satisfied with the small amount of water which NEVER FILLS THE TRAY unless I physically pull it into the tray with my finger.I believe that the wrong plastic materials were used in the manufacture of this waterer.I would NEVER RECOMMEND THI TO ANYONE after all the time wasted on getting it to work.One more thing, if the cups are delivered to you and are “stuck” together, run hot water over the last cup and about 30 seconds later the will almost ‘pop’ apart. As the air inside the last cup heats and expands, the resulting pressure will push them apart.

I've tried putting water in these and the hole is too small to let water out due to surface tension. You can squeeze the water out but it doesn't continuous fill the tray as you would expect.I've also tried this with 2:1 sugar syrup and modified it to make the hole bigger to no avail.The bees just bunch at the opening and no fluid flows out onto the pad.

They are to small to start with unless your okay with filling the 2 of 3 times a day and they will easily fall apart spilling your sugar water everywhere

never seen a bee drink from it, still have bees dying on my patio.
