Scotch 2025-48C General Use Masking Tape for Basic Painting, 1.88 inches by 60 yards, 2025, 1 roll, 1.88" Width, Tan

A heavy duty, "wide" painters tape. I used it to tape off the walls around doorframes I was painting, as well as to tape up hardware that couldn't be removed.The tape peels and applies easily in long pieces. It sticks well and didn't seem to let paint seep under it, despite my only lightly pressing it to the wall. When pulled off at the recommended 45-degree angle, it came off just as easily, in a single piece. I usually double up a section at the top to make pulling later easier.Smaller pieces are trickier since the tape doesn't always tear as intended, but seemed to work well-- you should remove hardware as much as possible, but I had a few things that were safer to leave in place, taped up. In some cases I left things taped up for a couple of weeks (much longer than the recommended 3-days max for clean removal). Even so, the tape came off without leaving residue behind. Nice.I'm also pleased at the renewable content of this variety of Scotch-- since this is an inherently disposable product, making it as eco-light as possible is valuable. I checked the local big-box, and they had the same size of "regular" Scotch tape for the same price (ie, the kind w/ no renewable content listed).For comparable pricing (and home delivery!), definitely go with this version!House-painting is easily one of my least favorite life activities. I was pleasantly surprised how this tape makes that task a bit easier. Recommended.

I've bought masking tapes before that are lousy because they don't stick any better than regular tape. Then I've had those that almost glues to an object and is so sticky it can't be removed without scraping it off. This is perfect! I use it to tape dog pads to the floor when my lab is sick and I don't want the pads sliding around. I also use it to tape cloths to the table when my preschool class is working on a messy craft . It is easy to get the tape started on the roll between uses and tears easily when you don't have scissors nearby. I highly recommend this masking tape.

The adhesive used by 3M for this masking tape, Scotch 2025, is just as strong as the adhesive used by 3M for their cheapest masking tape, Scotch 2020. The "3-day" rating on this product, Scotch 2025, tells me that this masking tape can still be removed about 300 days after application. The "1-day" rating on the slightly cheaper, Scotch 2020 making tape tells me that 3M's cheapest masking tape can still be removed about 100 days after application. The "5-day" rating on the slightly more expensive, Scotch 2050 masking tape tells me that 3M's most expensive masking tape can still be removed about 500 days after application. However, the adhesive used by 3M for Scotch 2050 is slightly weaker than the adhesives used by 3M for Scotch 2020 or for Scotch 2025. Even several years after application of masking tape, the altered adhesive can still be removed with a wet, soapy, abrasive scouring pad (scrub sponge) such as Scotch-Brite or Brillo Estracell.

I would not recommend this for wall painting as it tears easily. I used it for my bike so this was not as big of a problem. It made removal a bit difficult but most of the tape wasn't actually stuck to the bike just itself around the mechanisms. It unfortunately did not adhere to my wheels so I ended up painting a lot of the rubber also but clearly it was not for that purpose so not overly upset about that

Who would have thought a person could love tape? But this tape really does warrant a positive review, because it really is far superior to that cheaply made dollar store tape. It's stronger, sticks better, and somehow peels away more easily at the same time. Apparently dedicating the life of a company to making adhesive products actually yields a pretty high quality of adhesive products. Who'da thunk it?I kid, of course. This really is superior tape. I even had the benefit of comparison, as my last roll of generic whatever masking tape had just a bit left. It was like comparing paper to actual tape - both in the way they adhered and in the way the previous tape was just SO flimsy and crappy. This stuff is solid, and noticeably better. This tape is worth it!

I've had multiple types of Masking Tape. Scotch brand is in my opinion the best Masking Tape on the market. Price comparison..nah..no comparison. Amazon's price is the best. The tape tears great! Great "Sticking Power" too. No other tape compares.. Not even the Gorilla. I use this Masking Tape for just about every day. I don't write reviews that much..but I sure appreciate the reviews by other customers and I purchase products 85% of the time..based on reviews by others!

Sometimes you buy masking tape and it doesn't stick well. It's too slippery. This tape sticks well. I use it mostly to clearly mark expiration dates on food I buy at the grocery store.

This roll of painter's tape sticks well and doesn't lift up until it's time to remove it. Aside from it's normal function of being painter's tape, it also doubles as a good solution to cleaning up pet hair and dust on carpets and floors. Nothing falls off of the tape, so it makes cleaning easy and is efficient to use.
