I've bought so many books for my baby (a 13 month old boy), and although he has occasionally been interested in ones that crinkle or pop up, for the most part he has zero patience for being read to. This book is the one exception, and in fact he lights up with a big grin every time it gets opened. I've read negative reviews for this author in which people complain the books are too simplistic, yes, the text is minimal, but it's not Tolstoy, it's a board book for babies. Also, it encourages interactive reading, which I am feel certain is the reason my little guy loves it so much more than all the other books with stories. This may or may not be what you're looking for, though, so keep it in mind, but for me it's perfect.

This is probably the 5th time I’ve bought this book for our house. It’s so much fun for my toddler.

Leslie P has another winner with Tickle. I use most of her books to wind up the day and quiet down towards bedtime. Tickle, not so much. Tickle is geared more to rolling around on the floor and gearing up for fun. It also does a great job of turning a frown upside down and going in for belly laughs. The biggest problem I have reading Tickle is just getting through the book. Little One spends too much time dodging the tickle monster, and I spend too much time reaching over and around those arms to reach the tickle spots! I didn't know my granddaughter is really an octopus! I really love that there is a page where Baby has had enough, yells STOP! and the tickling stops, everyone backs off. So important to teach children, from the time they are babies that they are in control of touches and when they say 'enough' they should always be listened to.Highly recommend Tickle for anyone with toddlers who are not ticklish, and those who are!

This is a cute book that allows for a lot of interaction with your child. There's not a lot of written words to read, but there are lots of sounds and scenes to act out. Leslie Patricelli makes consistently cute books with great illustrations.

All of Leslie Patricelli's board books are delightful! My 5 year old granddaughter LOVES them and reads them over and over again! Sweet and simple illustrations and words about everyday events in a toddlers life.

My son loves this book!!! Very cute and fun. Simple language and cute illustrations that toddlers seem to be very drawn to. I reccomend other books by this author as well.

Not my favorite Leslie book but still great pictures and fun to read and tickle at the same time.
