There are two side for each loop that are supposed to lock once crimped, however I have found that the side of the metal that's supposed to be already locked down needs an extra crimp because it falls out pretty easy.They are good to keep adapters together, but not great for security since the ends. can get pulled out just be twisting the secured adapters.

Easy to install and comes with a set of pliers to use. Wont stop someone determined to cut through the tether to get the adapter they want. Will deter most users in a office/corporate setting.
