Avoid This
I bought two of these water shutters to replace the two shutters that had broken off. Both had become wedged in my lower unit exhaust. The new ones lasted about 4 weeks. They broke and became wedged in my lower unit. Both..of.them. Use the quicksilver or mercruiser, and avoid this poor quality garbage.

OEM . Expensive but you have to have it.
Don't go with the Aftermarket stuff, you will be replacing them in 1-2 years. Get these OEM model and they will last. Be advised if you need these flappers something must of happened to burn them up. Ran the engine dry ( no water in engine), impeller going bad or not working at all, lower unit out of the water when running, blocked lower unit water inlet from weeds or mud. Once water is returned to the engine everything will be all good. You do need these so you won't have lake water going back in your exhaust and into your engine when slowing down your boat.

Part seems ok but false advertising by Quicksilver!
Product details said this part country of origin is Venezuela. In reality it’s ccp china! I could have saved a lot of money buying the off brand units if I wanted to buy from the ccp.
