Great Small Flashlight
I also have the bigger version with the cushion on/off switch and it started to fail, so I decided to try this one. It has a solid on/off button. Things to consider: There is only one level of brightness, it uses 1 AA battery (not sure how often I'll be changing batteries) , and it has no hanging strap. But I think it will fulfill what I need on my night walk without being too big/heavy.

Very good quality at reasonable price
I guess that you could call me a collector of flashlights. I own quite a few and I'm regularly trying new flashlights, but my tastes run mostly along the lines of higher priced, very high quality flashlights. I had bever owned a ThruNite flashlight before so I thought that I would simply give this a try. I was surprised that the quality of this light was every bit as good as flashlights that cost a lot more. This makes a really good everyday flashlight. I like it because it uses readily available, standard AA batteries. However, you do need to realize that are also some disadvantages to that. AA batteries do not hold nearly the amount of energy as LiIon batteries, and they have a lower voltage. As a result, you won't get the same level of brightness or length of runtime as you will with a LiIon battery powered light. However, for a compact, everyday carry that is sturdy and reliable, at a very reasonable price, you simply cannot go wrong with this light.

Solidly built, lengths of time in manual are based on 900 mah AA(2450 is very common)
Held up to a year of use, never got really wet but was taken on rainy days and nights in a back pocket. Max setting is properly bright and settings 3 and 4, I bought another one. It comes with replacement rings for the LED and the button mechanism and a replacement button, I have had no need of them yet, and lanyard is thick and able to be tightened well. Lanyard has been attached since day one.
