The media could not be loaded.  I really like this filter. It is on the stronger side though even when I have it on the lowest setting, so personally I wouldn’t recommend this for 5 gallons or below. As you can see from the video too, I have to point mine straight upward so it first hits the lid of the tank because the flow was too fast for me if I had it sideways/in the water and it was difficult for my betta. But it works great and I love the sound of it! It’s like a mini sound machine. For $10 I’m happy

It works great almost too great it’s advertised as a nano tank filter which for looks and size I love it but the current is way too strong for a nano tank.

Super cheap but doing exactly what I need it to do: moves that water throughout my tanks. I built 7 full eco/aquasystems like you can find YouTubers doing (my fav is MD Fish Tanks!) and I'm having great success! I have several of the smaller filters, and one slightly bigger. The bigger one REALLY moves water a lot and have it turned completely down (i.e. the little adjustment thing that closes/enlarges the flow opening.) In fact, all of them are turned completely down. They really put out some power. I think I paid like $12 or so for the smaller ones and $16 for the bigger one... and for that price if they last a year I'll be happy and even buy them again. This was in 2023.Cleaning... well... once my tank was established (a month?), I haven't had to clean them. I probably should once a month or two! Maybe it's a little pain, but to be fair, any such style filter would be. The way the filter housing "clamps" onto the unit does seem a little cheap and really all they would need to do to fix that is make them snap in better/harder/tighter. But they have not fallen off (yet), so no worries. Maybe I could slightly melt or reshape them if it becomes a problem.If you are building a fully planted eco/aquascape like those YouTubers, then this one does the trick. No filter (except what's inside these ones, so stuff doesn't clog the propeller.) No water changes. I just top them off.Oh yeah - the suctions cups that hold these to the wall are so strong that they actually pop OFF the filter when you try to remove the filter pump for cleaning. You have to put them back on every time! Maybe that's the other CON, along with needing a tighter fitting filtration housing. I still gave it 5 stars - these things don't bother me.

It was difficult to get it to work at first I thought it was broken. Over time, I’d say it works alright. I use it with a 2nd filter for a small turtle tank though so it’s tough to gage which one does more work.

The media could not be loaded.  i bought this filter for my 20 Gallon and absolutely love it! the river affect, its super quiet and is very peaceful to look at! it definitely does the job! if you’re questioning on if to get this id definitely go ahead and get it. (the sound you hear in the background is my fan not the filter)

I have had this filter for about a month and the motor overheated and killed some of my ghost shrimp. I am super upset and will not be buying this again or recommend it to anyone.

I have used a few of these filters over time and I really like them. They are effective, have good flow, and are easy to clean. My most recent order showed me how good the company's service is. One of the filters had been packed with two of the same elbow fixtures, instead of the two unique elbows needed to attach the spray bar. (First time that has happened with multiple purchases of this product.) If I hadn't used these in the past, I would have been confused and frustrated. Instead, I sent them an email with a photo asking them to send a replacement elbow. They responded quickly and said they sent it. Two days later, I got the package, and it had a WHOLE NEW FILTER set, not just the elbow I needed! Great service! And yes, the new one had the correct elbows.

This product works, however I was sold a used model. The packaging was wet upon opening which I thought was strange enough but there was a used filter and leftover substrate in the filter itself. Do not buy this sellers products.
