LamptronPower Controller CF525, Black Panel

I bought this fan controller for a specific purpose: taming the Delta PFB1212UHE-F00 120mm case fan, which takes a staggering 58W at maximum. This controller does exactly that, with surprisingly fine speed control to boot! Aside from powering this monstrous turbojet of mine, the CF525 is also useful for powering large clusters of more "normal" fans, when paired with a large number of splitter cables; while the controller itself has five headers, I imagine you could power about 20 Cougar Turbine 120mm fans with it (and that's possibly a pessimistic estimate).The unit looks and feels quite nice as well, boasting a slick metal face that feels quite robust. It'll make your PC look like a guitar amp - a *really cool* guitar amp.

Powerful, but setup directions are horrible. Need a 1000 watt plus PSU or you may have problems.

This fan controller is very well made and has plenty of power to run my 12-fan dual 360mm radiator setup without breaking a sweat. It's top notch in every way. It seemed a bit expensive, but the build quality is such that it should last for many years. It looks great as well. I like that is is a no-nonsense design and doesn't have gimmicks like LEDs and digital LCD stuff. It works with 3-pin and 4-pin fans. (Mine are all 4-pin fans.) You won't regret purchasing this.

First adjuster from the left does not turn as easy as the other four. A quick knob turn test prior to packing would prevent this.

Expensive but an absolute beast of a fan controller. Sturdy and tough components. I am running really power hungry and high wattage/amperage fans on it without blinking. I do have some trouble removing my case's front panel for fan filter cleaning or just tinkering around because the front plate is a little to large for the optical drive bay. I would also love to see bigger markings on the nobs so I could set fans to the same setting without having to do it by sound. Otherwise extremely impressed by it.

Two amp fan runs great on this, can turn down until it clicks off also. Wiring was a bit odd more set up for old power supplies, but it works.

I actually ordered a different fan controller  Lamptron 50W - 4 Channel Aluminum Throttle Style Fan Controller w/ Multi Color Backlit LEDs (FC-9)  and received this one by mistake. I contacted the seller and they told me to go ahead and keep it if I wanted (this one is more expensive than the one I'd ordered). I wanted the other controller for the LED lighting options but while this one doesn't have that, it is a very good controller. I have three channels running three 120 fans apiece and just single fans on the other channels. At 60W a channel, I can pretty much run whatever fan set-up I feel like and shouldn't have any issues with overloading the channel. I did try the Delta fans a few years back and while they're good fans they were just way too much for what my rig needed so they won't be going in this system. The reason for only four stars is the power connection on this is suppose to be eight pin pci-e but an eight pin connector won't fit the socket. Six pin pci-e fits fine and delivers the power I need for the fan set-up I'm running so it still does the job in my rig.

Bought to control 2 deltas. I'm still waiting for the fans to arrive. But it seems to work with normal fans.
