An Added Layer of Security and Comfort
This item is a must have if your OBD port is located in an area near your knees which is both visible to thieves and prone to being knocked into by your knees. With this extension cable, you can kill two birds with one stone. This allows you to hide your CarLock device somewhere so that thieves will have difficulty finding your CarLock device and/or removing it. It also allows you to move your CarLock device out of the way of your knees. For an added layer of security, you can also dismount your OBD port and conceal it in your steering column, then put a dummy OBD port in its place. This will make it extremely difficult for a thief to realize and/or find the location of your CarLock device.

Must disconnect this cable to access the OBD II port
Item works well, but since the company also makes the same extension cable with the ability to access the OBD II port without having to disconnect the CarLock device, it was a no-brainer to buy that one and return this one.

Works well to to attach Car Lock device to your cars OBD port.
Work well to attach your Car Lock Device to your car's OBD-II port so than you can hide the Car Lock device up under the dash to make it much hard to located and detach.

Perfect for extending the OBD port.
Installed a GPS tracker on my daughters car as she travels with her job and I wanted to keep tabs on her (with her permission). The factory OBD port was almost flush with the inside of the plastice cover. This extension cable allowed me the route the port up under the dash and out of sight. Very high quality product that will work in many applications. Exactly what I needed to make this GPS tracker install. Highly recommed.
