This is as advertised.
This stuff sets up FAST! It does just as advertised. We mixed 24 oz of the powder with the recommended water ratio. We found this to set up too fast for what we were doing and what we had for a mix container on hand. I highly recommend adding another 2 oz of water than the ratio suggested assuming a 24 oz of powder and using a drywall mud trough for mixing and to handle while applying. This gave us a little more time and we patched some deep holes (some all the way through 8" concrete). We did not have any running water to deal with. If that is the case, their ration is likely good for that need. It is pretty hard and adding more water after the first mixture is being applied will not buy you any more time as the product is going through a molecular change, not drying out. It is somewhat workable once you have the initial coat or big glop in place as you can beat it down flatter with a hammer. We used 4" and 6" wide putty knifes for application on a basement wall (1930's rubble wall). This worked out well. For thinner areas or a sealant coat, we also used the Xypex Concentrate and there is plenty of time to work. One person can apply 72 oz of that powder with time to spare. We brushed that on with a 5" wide old beat up paint brush.

Works great - SETS FAST!
They're not kidding about the working time on this stuff. I recommend you measure the water into 1 bucket, and the powder into another, and then don't mix them until you are right in front of where you plan to apply it. I was working in 55 degree temps in damp weather, indoors in the basement, and this stuff was stiff and starting to set in a little less than 2 minutes. So, once you mix it, don't mess around, get int into place! Other than that, seems to adhere well. I also am experimenting with mixing in some of the regular Xypex compound waterproofing stuff, as you can create a hybrid with the Patch 'n Plug powder for better water barrier performance.

When I say this stuff works, it really does the job if you are trying to patch cracks in concrete.

So far so good.

Five Stars
This outperforms any other hydraulic cement. My basement was under water pre-Xypex. Post Xypex, my basement is bone dry!
