I thought I should write a review and give my suggestions in getting the most effective cleaning from this amazing steamer. I have read some of the other reviews to give my advice on several things they haven’t been happy about. I’m a professional cleaning lady and have used this particular model for many years. And the absolutely LOVE IT!! I wear them out because I work them hard at least 5 days out of the week cleaning 2 or 3 homes each day. I buy one every few years. They are durable and they don’t make loud noises. The cord length is average but I do put a heavy duty extension cord on mine so I’m not constantly stopping to plug it in another outlet. No issues in doing that. Though it’s not completely necessary to use a spray bottle to mist a little more water onto the regular white pads I do, plus the pledge multiple purpose cleaner that’s in the can. Does help it out tremendously plus it gives a nice fragrance while you’re cleaning the floors. My customers love it and can tell the difference when I do this extra step that takes little extra time. If your tile floors have a smooth shiny surfaces then you may see the swirls of the motion of the pads so I suggest using a flat mop behind an every small section once you steam it. It’s not really a waste of time doing that because it makes your floors more beautiful and cleaner plus flat mop can get areas that the steamer cannot. For the rougher tile surfaces that are more stony you can sloppy mop an area and take the streamer behind it or I buy the shaggy grey pads that can only be purchased at Home Depot. I dip those pads into my spin mop bucket hot water using Zep natural floor cleaner solution (Amazon does have this product normally) I put it in the spinner and use my spin mop to spin the pads out some. It it does the best cleaning your floors have ever had!!! Sounds like a lot of work but this type of cleaning stays nicer long plus you don’t have to do it like this every time but once a month or 2 depending on the traffic in your home but as a professional I do it to give my clients a more excellent cleaning. **Please not do not put shaggy grey pads in the dryer because it seems to ruin the plastic pieces to attach to the steamer. I never have a problem with the machine leaking at all. And it’s portable to take it with you easily. Oh another awesome feature you can buy scrub brushes to attach to your steamer. (Available on Amazon only) It is best to wet a small area at a time with a sloppy mop then scrub away. Then mop back over it and use a flat mop if necessary. Depends on your floor type. I also use this in the big walk in showers to scrub the floors only. Once again spray the cleaners of your choice on the shower floor and use a cup of water to give the machine something more to work with. Generally you usually can do a big reach to the other side without cord touching. USE WITH CAUTION OF COURSE. As I’m aging getting on my hands and knees to scrub bathroom floors is too difficult but why do it if you can use the machine?? Save your hands. If that’s too scary for you to do that use a car washing brush instead.

Update#2 May 2025, Still so happy with my purchase and it is still going strong and have had no problems. Update 5/14/2024. I still LOVE this steamer. Every time I use it, I say to myself how glad I am I bought it. It is so easy to use and love knowing my floors are really clean. /. Just received the steamer this week and gave it a go today. I have always been happy with Shark products and this is no exception. I was able to catch a special and got it for about $45 less than the currently posted price. It’s simple to assemble and easy to fill the tank with the provided cup. The tank held about two of the cups. At first I thought it might be a little heavy for me, but because it is self propelled that is not the case. It did a great job cleaning and I am not in pain! I like the steam because it cleans better and sanitizes. There are three settings all with steam. I have ceramic tile and laminate in one room. Though I am a single, no pets, and only have about 750 sq ft, I never felt the floors were getting clean. Now I do! Look at the pads after! Highly recommended.

This has been an absolute lifesaver! My dog had 9 puppies back in March and I quickly learned how unsanitary swifter wetjet’s really are. Needed something to help clean up and sanitize after 9 adorable, disgusting fur balls and this did the trick! I use steamer safe cleaning solution with it for a nice smell and deeper cleaning. The steam really does help remove set-in nastiness with ease. It’s spinning heads are very helpful and it practically moves itself which is fantastic for someone with a bad back (ME). Maneuverability is great as well! The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I’ve had some issues with durability. My first one broke pretty quickly when one of the spinners went over a cord but it was so useful I bought another immediately. The second one hasn’t broken yet but the pads don’t stay on very easily. I find myself having to reattach the right pad at least 4-5 times each use. It’s still worthwhile for me, though, as this is the best cleaning device I’ve found for laminate/tile floors. With 3 dogs and 3 boys in the house this steam cleaner has truly been a blessing and I’d recommend it highly! Just make sure to get all cords and anything else out of the way before use and you won’t be disappointed!!!

I bought this for my new ceramic tile flooring, which I put throughout the entire house. This baby is a game changer! No more stooping and sweating away as I push around my (quite wonderful) o’Cedar mop with the spinning bucket attachment. I reserve the o’Cedar mop system for my engineered wood floors now and it is terrific but requires a lot of elbow grease and back work. This steamer only needs water (distilled only) and a few fresh steamer mop heads and off I go. The steamer practically drives itself and I really don’t feel hot at all pushing it, even though the water gets steaming hot. Water receptacle could be bigger but ahhh, so what? Right when the water runs out, I always want to GENTLY remove the pads without burning myself (DO NOT TIP MACHINE UPSIDE DOWN! BURN HAZARD!) I check the pads to see if they’re really dirty and therefore need swapping out. I have a stack of extra mop pads handy and I swap out when they look really dirty. Then into the wash they all go (alone, with no other items), then I line dry them and put them away for the next time. My floors are softly glowing now and our feet and socks stay nice and clean! I’m saving on floor washing liquid. This uses NO cleaning products! Big win! Just distilled water and steam. I am delighted with this purchase and I find I am more than happy to steam my floors, whereas I always sort of dread mopping my engineered wood floors, which always ends in a sore, stiff back. This is a terrific cleaning machine. We are delighted with it. Enjoy!

You know you're getting old when you get excited about cleaning equipment. This came yesterday, and I spent a great deal of the day today using it. I'll start at the beginning... Very easy to assemble. Just snap the handle into position. Use the little container to fill the reservoir on front. Takes about 1 ¹/² containers. Attach the "mops" by placing them next to each other on the floor and set the device down on them. I lightly pressed on the foot area on top of the scrubber to make sure they were in place. Plug it in and you will hear it start up. When you see the steam coming out, pull back on the handle, with your foot lightly holding the scrubbing part in place. Then select how much steam and scrubbing you want...1, 2 or 3. I went with 3 as we needed a deep clean. The mop does move a bit on its own, because those little scrubber pads are spinning so fast. It is very light weight and very easy to handle. I found if I just turned my wrist it would change direction the way I wanted it to. The pads got dirty, the floor got clean. No painful knees or wrists, no dirty water in buckets. This will get used a lot at this house. I hope it holds up. We do not have pets, just a river and plenty of dirt. Wish I knew about this little gem a long time ago! Also, I vacuumed all the hard floors before running the steamer. I read on reviews of the "all in one" machines that most people vacuumed ahead of using the ones that had the steam and vac in one anyway, so I saved some money and went with the simple one. Will be much easier to store and is so easy to use. I like that is has a cord and not a nonreplacable battery.

The first three times I used this mop, it was great. It cleans really well, I like the cleaning pads that it comes with, and it is easy to use. However, the fourth time I tried to use it the mop would not produce steam and turned off automatically after about 30 seconds. I have followed all of the manufacturers instructions for use. I contacted Shark for troubleshooting, and was told that my mop would need a new part. However, even though my product is still under warranty, Shark charges shipping for parts, even though it was their product that is defective. When I refused to pay the shipping for the new part, and asked to return the product instead, they said that they require returns to go through Amazon. When I contacted Amazon, Amazon refused to return the product because it is past the return window. Shark does not stand behind their products, and Amazon, in this case is not standing behind a product that they sold. Typically, in my limited experience with returns, Amazon is great about this, but not this time. I have also had three different Shark vacuums in the past three years. Two of them died within six months. Fortunately, I bought them at Costco, and was able to replace them. I will not buy shark products in the future. Additionally, I will probably stick to purchasing items like this from Costco rather than Amazon in case the product is defective and needs to be returned. I think companies should stand behind the products they sell.

Not working product, from that day when I purchased , I continued take feed back but even no one responded for servicing too, Very bad service and product and can’t get any technical support

Our floor is looking amazing after using this steam mop. It removed all the bulid up and the stickiness we had due to product build up It can leave your floor dull though if wood/laminate flooring, you will need to apply polish to restore its shine The only down side is that the water container is very small if you are doing a large space it will require multiple refills, but I understand this makes it lighter and more agile.
