I bought this ice pack about four years ago and it is still in great condition. I tend to hold a lot of tension in my shoulders and neck which often leads to horrible headaches. This ice pack has helped me with that. What I like most is how it molds perfectly to my neck and base of my skull. It releases the tension built up there. It stays cold for at least 30 minutes, which is plenty of time to get relief. I also like the convenience of the hand strap and the soft fabric cover keeps my hand from freezing while I'm holding it in place. After four years of regular use, it hasn't leaked or worn down at all. Highly recommend if you suffer from tension headaches.

For his leg, though, it was too small to be effective. The ice pack froze quickly, I put it in the freezer right after it arrived, and it was ready to use in about two hours. On bare skin, the cold feels very intense, which my husband didn’t like. I personally like that the back has a velvety fabric because it feels soft against the skin. The gel beads freeze evenly and stay cold long enough for a typical 15–20 minute session. I’ve used it on my knee, elbow, and shoulder, and it’s easy to move around thanks to the compact size. The elastic strap is a nice touch, but I do wish there was a way to secure it more firmly, especially when you’re trying to keep it in place on a larger area. Even just a slot to add your own strap would make a big difference. Overall, it’s well-made, versatile, and affordable. The compact size makes it better for smaller joints, hands, or face (like after wisdom teeth removal), but less practical for covering large areas. For the price, it’s a good value and I’d recommend it if you don’t mind holding it in place.

I LOVE this ice pack. It got me through stims when I was doing IVF and I could easily slide the pack in my shorts against my stomach with it staying in place. One side is the cold gel beads and the other is a nice soft side with a strap to keep your hands warm while holding. I used it everyday for months and still use it occasionally now for my pregnancy swelling and it’s held up perfectly fine.

This is just the right size. Easy to use and flexible enough to actually be useful.

No liquid in it and gel beads freeze weird. Not like the last one I bought.
