Ever since getting an in car phone holder with a qi charger inbuilt, I've been spoilt as my phone always has charge which is great until I was at home and had to faff about plugging the cable into my phone, only to find out a huge amount of pocket fluff had decided to make home in my phone's charging port, in turn starting the hunt for the smallest pointiest thing I could to fish it out well now I don't need to re-home my charger fluff as I have wireless charging in my home. I've got two of these and for the few days we've been using them, they're great, you need to ensure you've placed your phone in the 'sweet-spot' otherwise charging doesn't commence but that takes only a few seconds and the charging plate has a handy light to show when it's sending wireless power to your phone. If you like gadgets and convenience, you should get yourself one or more of these.

Great product. Unfortunately after a couple of months one of the two I bought stopped working. However, the excellent Tina at Yarrashop sorted this out within a day, even though it was a Sunday, and a replacement arrived in the post 2 days later. Thank you Yarrashop for your great service.

This has prolonged the life of my ailing, but trusty S6.. The phone itself works fine, screen is intact, but the charging port has become so worn out after nearly 7 years of use that it was no longer charging via the usb cable. I thought I was going to have to replace it after the battery ran flat and no amount of wiggling could get the cable to connect, then I remembered these wireless fellas. Game changer. Not judging anyone for regularly upgrading their phone, but for me, keeping my tech going as long as possible, especially when everything else about it works, saves resources.

Update: After months as primarily a coffee cup coaster, and changing the cable for the 2nd time, this wireless charger Pad started working again, but it is intermittent on where exactly the ‘charge field’ is and the rate of charge it delivers. Rescored as a *3*. You may have to rotate your device around the pad for the NFC to ‘talk’ to each other. Have included a photo of the mains adapter (21w USBC to USBC) you’re going to need to get to use the charging pad, compatible 12v rail capable USBC cable required. <———————————> 12 hours use over 18 days and it’s now suddenly Dead flashing the LED. Since disposed of packaging, unable to return. Unable to recommend unit. Listing originally failed to detail the use of USBC mains adapter that outputs to 12v - all 5v adapters will not power the Unit. Score low for its failure and the lack of transparency.

If I were judging this item by its performance in any area other than safety, I would give it five stars without hesitation. It charges my phone extremely quickly, and is incredibly easy to use - simply plug in and go. A blue light on the size of the flat charging pad lights up when the phone is positioned in the correct place and is charging. It flashes blue if the phone is not charging, prompting you to move it into a better position. However, it also flashes non-stop if the charger overheats. THE OVERHEATING ISSUE: This is not something I had an issue with for the first few weeks of use of this product. I was extremely happy with it and had found a solution to the issue of fragile charging leads, or endless messages of “accessory not supported” when plugging in a new charger to try and charge my phone. However, I started to notice the smell of burning/melting plastic when my phone had been charging a while, and noticed that it was extremely warm when I would pick it up to use after it had been charging. It eventually got to the point where I felt the charger and it was so hot it caused physical pain and I was unable to hold it or touch it even to unplug the USB-C cable from the charging pad itself. I had not changed the way I was using it, was using it as directed, and have tried using it on a variety of surfaces, all smooth and in an open and well ventilate area. It got to the point where after a while of use, the charger itself flashed and did not stop until I removed my phone, and my phone was getting so hot it was causing issues too. Eventually, the charger was getting unbearably hot by the part where the USB-C cable (provided with it) plugs into the charging pad, again to the point where I couldn’t physically touch that area. I tried usin a different USB-C cable, wondering if it was an issue with that compnent instead, and encountered the same issue. I was worried about fire risk, unplugged it, taped an old lightening cable to high heaven, and have had to make do with holding it in a certain position to get my phone to charge. I am quite sure that continuing to try and use this charger would have caused heat damage to my phone and the surface upon which the wireless charging pad was rested. Perhaps this is an isolated issue, as with everything there are bad batches or the odd anomaly, and I haven’t seen memntion anywehre else. It absolutely should not be used to charge a device unsupervised, near any other heat source, near young children or pets, or near anything flammable or sensitive to heat. I wanted to give a fair review, so have reviewed my initial experience and the performance of the product in order to be fair, but I have also mentioned the issue that I experienced because I think as a consumer it’s important to know that you may be placing yourself at risk, particularly if you plan to leave your phone to charge beside your bed while you sleep. This may be an isolated issue, so I cannot state that all user experiences will be like mine, but that’s why I have given this product a low rating despite it being easy to use and having good charging power (it would score 5 in those things).

On holiday, typical, and I cannot charge my phone any longer!! I got straight on to Amazon and managed to find a magnetic phone charger, this is for my i-phone 12 mini. I chose the dark grey one as it as the same colour as my Amazon Alexa, hahaha! Always thinking of the aesthetics! It arrived speedily the next day using Amazon Prime. It is quite a discreet size which is good as I didn't want a big bulky thing! I plugged it in, a green light flashes followed by a blue light flash, there is then a few seconds delay, so be patient, pop your phone on the charging pad and the blue light illuminates again and flashes when on charge. Fab my phone is now charging YAY!! Tip..... don't forget to take your case off before placing on the charger, unless of course you have a magnetic case. This is so easy to use and I would highly recommend this product.

This product looks good and does the job. Some reviews mentioned issues with thicker phone cases but we’ve not had any problems. The blue light is bright but not terrible and can be easily blocked/covered if using in your bedroom at night. It’s not super fast charging, but it’s handy to have on your desk to rest your phone on while you work or in your bedroom while you sleep. I bought one for my youngest some and went back for another for the eldest.
