Weber91360 Electronic Battery Igniter Kit for Spirit (2009-2012) Gas Grills

Weber makes great grills. But, their replacement parts have skyrocketed in price. Part of this might be due to being taken over by private equity investors. Buying these parts on Amazon saves a lot of money.

The description seemed to indicate this would replace part for part the original Weber igniter. It does not. In order to install you need to bypass (abandon) the installed original Weber part. That being said, once you recognize this needs to be done, you can use most of the supplied parts and connect to the Weber sparking device…and it ignites the gas. So it works, not with the original parts, but with the same result…ignition!

Replaced the rusted out ignitor on my dad's Spirit grill - works great. Every time he grills out he texts me to say, "It works like it's brand new!"

After having ordered what I thought was the correct install kit for my Weber grill last year, I finally got around to installing it this month. Unfortunately, the collector box and igniter wires were the wrong ones for my grill - and this was after plugging in model numbers in the box on the website to make sure I got the right kit. So.. back to Amazon where I ordered this kit and Eureka! it was the right one. The installation was a bit involved, but not at all difficult. (A bit greasy - you have to remove the flavor bars and grills form the grill. Use disposable gloves.)The moral of my story is disassemble your grill to get to the igniter wires and collector box, take a photo of them and bring the photo to your computer to make sure what you are ordering the correct kit. Don't rely solely on plugging in your model number, which didn't work great for me.And - as for value - after having installed this kit, I found another one on Amazon which was $5.00 cheaper (but without printed instructions - which is strange. It would cost the vendor only a couple of cents to photocopy a set on instructions and pack them in the box.)

This was a direct fit and installed in a matter of minutes. It took longer to clean the grill grime off my hands than to install. Works better than the original.

My cousin told me a few years ago that he'd taken up grill refurbishment as a hobby, and told me it would be so easy to change out my ignitor. I put it off and then decided to refurbish our grill as a Father's Day gift for my husband. Freaking easiest thing I've ever done. Why did I wait 12 years since it stopped working?! (Fer real, it might have just been a dead battery, but now I have a nice shiny button, so whatever.) I cleaned the grates really well, replaced the flavorizer bars and am about to purchase some new knobs. What an awesome and simple project. I'm handier than a lot of women but, seriously, this did not take a lot of effort or know-how. Do it.

Easy to install. Fixed the ignition problem. More expensive than competitors but I believe it will last longer. I hate buying cheap imitations and having them fail shortly. Quality products are worth the investment.

Ignitor failed on our CEP-330 after 11 years. Bought a knock-off one for 1/2 the price of this one. It worked okay in the summer but failed miserably in the first cold part of winter. Ordered this one to replace it. Came quickly, easy to install and works like when the bbq was brand new. Super happy now.

Perfect replacement for my dead Weber gas bbq igniter. Works great. Easy to install.
