does it have adhesive on one side?

There is no obvious adhesive on either side. I believe the tape melds with itself when it is stretched and wrapped.

"Rubber" is made from Latex which can be vulcanized with contact cement type substances. Can this be vulcanized and not rely on stretching to bond?

It worked great for me. I use it on my ham radio equipment

do you remove the fabric covering?

Yes - you remove the liner. Once removed and you use the tape it fuses itself together when wrapped. The liner or fabric keeps it from fusing together in the roll.

Will this stick to Poly pipe?

Not positive, but since it adheres to shielding on electrical wiring, I would think it will adhere to poly pipe that is clean of dirt and oils.

Excellent Electrical Tape!

Excellent tape. Tried the liquid sealant that created a complete mess, before finding this. This is a must have for Electrians. After stretching a piece, wrap, wait for a spell, it will rubberize. Waterproofing.

Super good rubber tape. I usually use magic tape but this is much higher quality and is much thicker.
