Dont listen to the bad reviews. It works well. Read this first
To start I’d like to say I am a veteran videography and photographer. I’ve used large gimbals with full frame camera and small Gimbals line this. I think a lot of the bad reviews are from user error and lack of knowledge. I suggest reading the instructions and watch some tutorial videos to learn when you get new gear. There is most likely a simple fix or oversight your not seeing. Regarding this gimbal I have both the OM4 and OM5. I got the 5 because of the extension rod and I really like for low shots after a few days of use. I will agree with others that both the OM4 and OM5 stress to carry the weight of the iPhone 12 and 13 pro max. I use tested the 11 and 12 pro and had no issues. The max I would get some vibration which is disappointing. Please realize the just little weight difference is a big deal on this little gimbal. Remove your case and any attachments on your phone. Less weight the gimbal has to work with the better. Also make sure to balance the phone on the gimbal before turning it on. Hold the motor that goes up and down and then balance the phone so it does not drop to the left or right and stays level on its own. That the only adjustment you can make on this simple gimbal and it’s very important. I believe a lot of people complaining of vibration are not doing this. It’s really easy to want just put on the back plate and stick it to the gimbal and power on but balancing is important step. I blame dji marketing a little as the promo vid shows someone just slapping it on randomly to the phone and sticking to gimbal. You can do this one you balance it once and then remember where to place the mount on your phone each time but the first time make sure to figure out where that spot is and you will prevent a lot of head ache. Another point to bring up is to learn the modes and buttons. Figuring out the features and limits of each mode will help a lot. These gimbals are turn key and can get great content right out of the box but the difference between good and great content is practicing a little bit and getting to know your gimbal. Little things like proper settings, smooth body movement and shot planning can really help. Have patience and learn the tool. I rarely leave reviews but wanted give my two cents on this one as I’m quite experienced with gimbals and think some users are giving bad reviews that aren’t accurate because of lack of knowledge and experience and may turn off some buyers that could really benefit from this awesome product. It’s amazing that this product is under $200 and paired with a new iPhone 13 pro it can create the quality of content that would have taken 10k + of equipment to produce 10 years ago. Amazing what we have access to these days. In one small backpack I have this gimbal, a mavic air 2 and misc filters and I shoot amazing pro quality content. Dji has made that all possible. I’m not affiliate or paid by them. I just really appreciate their gear and think they do in excellent job. I’ll try to find the time to do a tutorial on it and show some of my work in the future. OM5 is an exciting release :)

Great for Travel & Content Creation!
I love this DJI OM 5! It’s so much fun to use and super easy to set up. You just connect through the app and you’re ready to start shooting. It’s compact and lightweight, which makes it perfect for travel, vlogging, and capturing smooth TikTok or YouTube footage on the go. The built-in extension rod is a great bonus, too. The only thing I wish were better is the battery life... it’s decent (just under an hour), but a little extra runtime would make it perfect. Overall, a fantastic gimbal!

DJI OM 5 Smartphone Gimbal Stabilizer
### DJI OM 5 Smartphone Gimbal Stabilizer Review The DJI OM 5 is a significant leap forward in the world of smartphone gimbals, boasting advanced stabilization technology, a sleek design, and user-friendly features that cater to both novice and professional videographers. Here's an in-depth look at its features, performance, and overall value. #### Design and Build Quality The DJI OM 5 is lightweight and compact, making it incredibly portable. The foldable design ensures it can easily fit into a small bag or even a large pocket. The gimbal is crafted from high-quality materials that feel robust and durable. Its ergonomic grip makes it comfortable to hold for extended periods, reducing hand fatigue during long shoots. #### Stabilization and Performance One of the standout features of the DJI OM 5 is its advanced 3-axis stabilization. This technology ensures that your footage remains smooth and stable, even during dynamic movements. Whether you're walking, running, or panning, the gimbal compensates for any hand shakes or jitters, delivering professional-quality videos. The OM 5 also includes a built-in extension rod, which adds versatility to your shooting angles. This is particularly useful for vlogging, group shots, and capturing unique perspectives that would otherwise be challenging with a traditional gimbal. #### Intelligent Features DJI has packed the OM 5 with a range of intelligent features designed to enhance your shooting experience: - **ActiveTrack 4.0**: This feature allows the gimbal to automatically follow a subject, keeping them in frame at all times. It's highly responsive and accurate, making it ideal for capturing moving subjects. - **Gesture Control**: You can start and stop recording or take photos with simple hand gestures, adding convenience, especially when filming solo. - **ShotGuides**: This feature provides creative tips and suggestions based on your surroundings, helping you capture the best possible footage. - **Timelapse, Motionlapse, and Hyperlapse**: These modes enable you to create dynamic time-lapse videos with ease, adding a cinematic touch to your projects. #### Battery Life The DJI OM 5 offers decent battery life, providing up to 6.4 hours of use on a single charge. While this is slightly less than some of its predecessors, the gimbal charges relatively quickly, so you won't be left without power for long. #### Companion App The DJI Mimo app is an essential companion for the OM 5. It offers an intuitive interface and a variety of creative tools to enhance your videos. The app seamlessly integrates with the gimbal, allowing for easy adjustments and access to all features. #### Pros and Cons **Pros:** - Compact and foldable design - Excellent 3-axis stabilization - Built-in extension rod for versatile shooting angles - Intelligent features like ActiveTrack 4.0 and Gesture Control - User-friendly DJI Mimo app **Cons:** - Slightly reduced battery life compared to previous models - Some features require the use of the DJI Mimo app, which may not be preferred by all users ### Conclusion The DJI OM 5 is a top-tier smartphone gimbal that offers impressive stabilization, a range of intelligent features, and a portable design. It's an excellent choice for content creators, vloggers, and anyone looking to elevate their smartphone videography. Despite a few minor drawbacks, its performance and ease of use make it a worthwhile investment.

Doesn’t hold phone with case on it
This gimbal is great and does everything I expected it to. Have already gotten many inquiries from curious people when I use it at my son’s basketball games. I have to make sure I am a certain distance away because the tracking isn’t as fast for back and forth action like basketball. However, I just lock it in place and track manually using my wrist/hand and it is still a great experience. My only complaint is that it cannot hold my phone with the phone case still on (and my case is pretty thing) so I have to take the case off which makes me nervous. Dropped my phone once but that was as I was securing it in gimbal. It hasn’t fallen out of the gimbal yet and hopefully it won’t. This is a really nice gimbal and I love that even though you record in the company’s app, the videos are still available in the IPhones native photo app too.

I purchased this for a once in a lifetime holiday to Canada, and don't regret a single penny. It enabled me to produce some really nice and quirky footage, which makes the final result that much more interesting. I did, and I would, recommend that you watch some videos on tips and hints. There are some really good channels on youtube, so worthwhile investing some time watching. It has an excellent build quality. light and comfortable to carry. Easy to setup. Since purchasing mine, a newer model has been released, but I don't believe there is a great difference in functionality. The clip that goes on the phone is magnetic and fits the phone snuggly. The only issue is you have to have it central to the phone so it may or may not interfere with side buttons. The magnetic clip is very powerful and unless you shake it really excessively, has never fallen off. The DJI Mimo software is very reasonable however you have to download it and install (Android) manually as it is not in the playstore. Why? I don't really know. You can use your native cameral software though, but the Mimo does add more options. My only gripe with the software is that your phone connects via bluetooth and when you put it into suspend mode, more often than not it doesn't automatically reconnect. I also had an issue which I reported to the DJI which was to do with the software not correctly identifying the GPS location, so registered a lot of my video being in Russia rather than Canada. They did eventually acknowledge the bug and hopefully by now has been resolved.

Great DJI product as usual. My wife loves it. But sometimes forgot to bring along for her trips.

De uitschuiffunctie is fantastisch!
