Orbit58970 4-Way Manifld and Shut-Offs, No Size

We had a garden spraying system and a water hose on the faucet in the back of the yard. We built a bird water trough near it and wanted to add a drip system to it. We added this 4way Shut off and all works well together. The cut off and one at each valve is so sturdy it easily cuts off and on with no leakage. Wish we had this one years ago.

So if you're searching for these on Amazon, odds are you'll come across dozens using made up brand names that look identical. Unfortunately during my search last year I didn't know Orbit made one so I ended up with one of the aforementioned parts. It worked ok at first, a bit leaky but tolerable. But this year it was spraying water out of the valve stem, and the company had pulled it's listing so the warranty was useless.This Orbit has much better tolerances with the threads and valves, and most importantly they are going to be around if you need warranty help. I will say their warranty department can be rather slow to get back to you, but it's better than not having one at all.Oh, and one other thing I did learn from the last y I bought: use Teflon tape on all your connections! Weirdly the other one came with a small roll of Teflon tape, probably because the tolerances were so bad. But it has really helped on this; I put it on all the male hose connections and I have zero leaks which is a first.

For a year or so I've been using the all brass shut-offs with the tiny brass knob and it was kind of difficult and annoying to turn. Switched to these, all good, very happy with these and the price was reasonable considering I had to replace 3 of them. Can't speak of the durability but the quality seems good so hopefully they will.

This is the second one we have ordered. The first one broke due to user error. Someone visiting during the funeral left the hose on during 13 degree Temps and caused the hose and the spigot to break.

This lasted more than a growing season attached to the end of a 200 foot hose to the garden. We had a shorter hose attached for the actual watering. No complaints, it still looks pretty good, and operates cleanly.

Returned the first one that I received immediately -- would not shut off so it dripped/leaked whenever the water was on. Have had the replacement for about ten weeks now and the good news is that it didn't leak at all the first four weeks or so. But since then, the leaking has gotten progressively worse -- just about at the point now where I am going to have to toss it and try another brand. To be clear - it leaks from the nozzle (just as the first one did), not the hose coupling. Disappointing product from a company with as solid a brand name as Orbit.

I haven't had it long enough to give it 5 stars, but if it holds up it could deserve 5.I've used a lot of hose Y shut off valves over the years and this is a very good one.The handles move smoothly and are large enough to be easy to use.In the off position the valves actually shut off water. Imagine that.The entire fitting feels solid.I recommend it.

It works and is good quality, but I will be replacing this eventually. The valve creates a constant venturi effect even when wide open so you get really extremely high pressure all the time. This may be suitable in some cases, but for me, I have one side connected to a hose and use the other side without a hose to fill buckets of water for my animals. I get soaked literally every time I try to fill a bucket.

This was a perfect replacement part. It’s well made and strong. It arrived quickly. Easy to install.

I bought this to replace the identical orbit tap I had but it was older and starting to crack (and the individual connections were leaking despite being off)This one is worse. Leaks everywhere, worse than the old original. That’s the last Orbit product I buy. The Pope tap I bought was flawless, it just wouldn’t fit the original irrigation pipes so I thought I’d be lazy and buy the same model for the measurements. Won’t make that mistake again…

Rugged well made great linear design for tidy aesthetic. I have used many manifolds from different manufacturers this one out performs them all even more pricey competitors. I haven’t used them long but they seem very well made..

Very sturdy on/off levers work very well, no leaks, great value.

Certainly better than previous model that had plastic hose connections for the controllers to attach to. They always leaked after a short time
