A skeptical buyer takes a chance, couldn't be happier! Read my review.
I will start by saying, I could not have been most skeptical to buy from this seller after reading such a mixed bag of reviews. I felt like it was a gamble making this purchase even with such a deep discount. I am wondering if some of these bad reviews are just plain lies or people bending the truth to get what they want. So here is an honest review from me, someone who thought he was going to have to send this chair back before I ever bought one. This is all just 100% fact, no BS for people that really want to find a review that matters. I purchased the Herman Miller Aeron with posture fit in size B. Order placed Feb 28th 2018, delivered March 8th; just one week! I live in CA and mine shipped from Brooklyn, so I was definitely impressed with the speed. I actually took videos of my unboxing the chair since I was 100% anticipating a crap product, this way damage couldn't be blamed on me and I would have evidence. THE GOOD: Upon opening, I found a 100% genuine and in perfect condition chair. EXACTLY what I purchased down the last bolt. It came tagged with genuine labels, documentation, you name it, it even has the little "secret" bumps under the collar to indicate the chair size. This chair is, without a doubt, a genuine product. People were complaining that with the posture fit you need to push a little wire through the back of "such a nice chair", those people are morons it takes 1 second, it also does not hurt the chair in any way (given you have half a brain). It is also worth noting that you have to do this even if you buy it directly from Herman Miller themselves! I could not be any more pleased, I sit in this chair 8+ hours a day for work and has significantly helped my back as I used to sit in a cheapo Staples chair. This chair comes 90% assembled and came with an allen wrench, All that is needed was a Philips screwdriver. THE BAD: There was a tiny scratch on the leg of the chair that likely happened during its long shipping journey from NY to CA. I think one of the wheels got loose in the box and bonked around making a tiny scratch. SO WHAT DID I DO YOU ASK? I emailed them and within 20 minutes and 1 email with a photo attached, they sent me out a tube of touchup paint (Andrew was whom I emailed with). I also emailed him back a few days later to ask if he had a tracking number for the paint, he replied within 5 MINUTES! This touch-up paint will be wonderful to have no matter what, as I plan to own this chair for a very long time! I cannot say enough good things about this purchase and how I have been treated. Amazing customer service, 5 stars there no doubt in my mind. BONUS TIP: I bought new wheels that fit PERFECTLY and make this chair look even more awesome/modern. Also, screw tacky wheels! They are clear and roll like a freaking DREAM on hardwood floors. One gentle push and I fly across the room like Alladin on a dang magic carpet! Item I bought below, also adding photos of these wheels in album. Office Chair Wheels by Office Owl - for Smart Home Offices, Set of 5 HEAVY DUTY 3" Replacement Rubber Office Chair Casters, Cool Rollerblade Style Casters For Hardwood, NO NEED FOR CHAIR MATS! If you have made it this far through my review, good on ya! I hope this review has helped even one person give this company a shot and buy the chair of your dreams that you may not have otherwise been able to afford (like me).

Nice Chair - But They Failed to Check Seat Shock When Refurbishing
I like the chair, just fine. However, I must mention a couple of things. First, they send two sets of arcane instructions. One relates to the chair I received and another to a later model. We are left trying to figure out which is which. And after doing so, the instructions / images are SO terrible, you end up just having to figure things out for yourself. But I eventually figured it out. Secondly, this is a refurbished item, but for $800, it needs to be fully functional, which was not the case with this chair. The "shock" that controls the chair height leaks and after sitting in the chair for a couple hours, I had sunk down about 4 inches. The support link amazon provided sent me to Herman Miller site, and given I had not purchased the chair from them, they could offer no support (this was by Office Logix). Ultimately, I assume chair would have bottomed out, eventually. The chair I was replacing had same problem and I cannot pay this much for a chair that leaves me in same predicament. I would have loved to keep this chair, as otherwise as it was fairly comfortable (from what I could determine having it for just a few hours).

The Chair You Wish You Would've Bought Sooner.
I stumbled on the Aeron by accident when someone had quit at a previous job and left a chair there. I loved it. I didn't learn until years later what the brand actually was (and how expensive it was) which had made it cost-prohibitive to own one for personal use at the time. With all the used/refurbished ones available, I finally pulled the trigger. Why spend $600+ on a chair when there are myriad cheap chairs available? I can only tell you that for me, I've been sitting on one of those chairs for years, and I get sore from sitting for any extended period of time. I have chronic SI/Lumbar pain, and the chair's structure (e.g. the mesh instead of a hard cushion) and posture support make it exponentially easier to sit in that a $75 chair, whether for a brief period of time or suffering through a long meeting. Just make sure you consult the size chart. I'm 6'0" and 174# and the Size B is comfortable, but cozy. My wife is 5'6" and 130# and she's completely comfortable in it. Because of the mesh, it also breathes incredibly well. As a reminder: All of these items are used/refurbished. Some of the negative reviews expressed frustration regarding the condition of the item. I'd say be aware of which seller you're buying from. Upon a recommendation in another review, I specifically purchased from WB Seating. My chair came sooner than the expected delivery date, was incredibly well packaged, and everything was in "like new" condition (it even smelled new). Instructions were included, and assembly was incredibly simple.

Chair Broke Twice/Poor Service
Will not purchase another chair from Amazon. Purchase at the beginning of the year and almost immediately had an issue with the chair not staying raised. Didn't discover until after the return period as it was for a future employee so it sat. Told there is a screw to turn that would fix the issue and it did for about 4 months. Now the chair will not raise or lower and is at a low position that it can't be used at a standard desk. Newest issue is a loud CRACK every now and again and the back of the chair releases so it feels like you are falling backwards. Our team member using it is pregnant and can you imagine the shock. Chair cannot be used. As for AMAZON support back to Herman Miller - DISASTER. The hoops to jump through to get service, then message and wait, and wait. If you have an item that might need service like a chair even though it has a long warranty don't buy it here. Call the vendor directly, sorry cannot help as it was purchased from Amazon. Off to the local store for a replacement and will see what we get out of this $600+ chair.

Worries eliminated
I was a bit concerned after reading the other reviews that I might've just spent $800 on a heavily-used chair that was destined for a landfill. I can't speak for their experiences, but the unit I received is borderline brand new - the only visible scuffs/scratches are on the arm rest elevation adjustment face, and that's going to happen rapidly even with a brand new unit. The chair comes mostly assembled - the backrest and seat are separated, but the entire base is pre-assembled. You'll only need to put in four screws to mount the back rest, then one additional screw to mount the PostureFit clip. Btw, the instructions for that clip aren't super clear - you have to poke the tensioner cable through the mesh in the backrest and hook it into the bottom arm on the PostureFit module. Took me a minute to figure out, but once I got there, it was super easy to wrap up assembly. I used an Aeron for over a year at a prior office job, and I think calling these chairs "comfortable" isn't exactly accurate. You probably aren't going to sit in your new Aeron and think "wow, this is the most comfortable chair I've ever sat in", and that can be an initial disappointment if you've never sat in one before. Where you start to notice the chair being god-tier is after sitting in it for 8-10 hours - if you sit in a $100 Walmart office chair for 8-10 hours, your back and butt will be killing you when you get up. You don't get that with an Aeron. It's practically like you were in zero gravity for that span of time instead. That is EXACTLY what you want out of an office chair. Not something cozy - something that has a net neutral impact on your body. The Aeron nails that in every regard. This is THE chair. If you work from home or just have a lot of hobbies that require sitting for long periods of time, get one.

Bad instructions, wrong wheels
Overall this chair is great. It’s in good shape, nothing is damaged or old looking. Good way to save a few hundred as opposed to a brand new one. However, the instructions are for setting up a new chair and it’s unclear how to set up the partially configured used chair based on this. I suggest that you not bother reading them and instead watch a youtube tutorial for assembling a used aeron. Secondly, this company sent me a set of rollerblade wheels instead of the traditional aeron wheels I know and love. The insert claims they are an upgrade, however I found them to be a nuisance. They would float me away from my desk while I was sitting still trying to work. I followed the seller’s instructions to request the normal wheels and received them in the mail a couple days later. I wish they would ask if I wanted the rollerblade wheels. As if this is not bad enough, they are asking me to send the bad wheels back to them in the mail. I’m going to wait until I have a real reason to go to the post office to send them because I shouldn’t have to take an extra trip when they purposely didn’t send me what I ordered.

Not a new chair
I own this chair. It is not new or has a defect from manufacturer. The hand rests are not great as they are supposed to pivot in and out but the arm cushion isn't supposed to move up and down. I mean, it's still pretty good but I wouldn't have paid $600 for it.

Don't bother with this chair.
A very disappointing purchase and have returned. I do not recommend buying this chair. The chair arrived partially assembled which was nice, however a critical part for the lumbar support was snapped in two. The chair was able to work otherwise. Eager to try it out I looked for instructions to adjust the chair. None were provided in the box. I tried to figure it out myself but there are a lot of knobs and levers so I went back to the product page on Amazon to look for instructions. Sure enough there is a "User Guide" linked under "Product Guide and Documents" so I downloaded the PDF. It did provide instructions for adjusting A chair --- just not the one I had. The handles and adjustments didn't all match to the chair I bought. Lastly the casters sound like a bunch of nuts and bolts inside a tin can rolling around. Unreasonably loud, it is very disruptive when on a zoom call. My 15 year old chair that I'm replacing is so much quieter. I did email customer support and they were helpful and sent a replacement part which took a few days to arrive. But in typical fashion they answer only one question at a time. I had to ask for the adjustment instructions twice. when I finally go them the video they sent had two warnings. Never engage the forward tilt and rear tilt levers at the same time. Never adjust the tilt without moving your body forward or backward depending on the adjustment. Well THAT seems like something you should put on a big red warning label on the chair BEFORE you sit it in. Because the levers are either/or I couldn't set the chair for a forward tilt and lock the back. That adjustment is what I needed. At the end of the day I just couldn't justify keeping a $600 chair that I couldn't adjust properly and that sounded like a discount store bargain basement used dumpster chair when rolling around on the floor.

Missing Authenticity Certificate
I had the following issues with the product: 1) The product I received was missing the Herman Miller authenticity certificate. According to the Herman Miller faqs page, all their products must contain this. Additionally, my other Herman Miller chairs came with the certificate. 2) The chair felt very different than my other Herman Miller chairs. 3) The product I received was damaged. 4) Looking at the product page, it used to say "Remanufactured to perfection" now it says "Renewed to perfection" My problem could be related to the seller I purchased the item from and not this item in general. My advise is to stay away regardless as this is selling at full price.

I returned even though I had to pay for 250$ return.
Very low quality for the price, I returned even though I had to pay 250$ for return :((( They say no question return, but I had to explain for them to accept the return. Poor quality, poor customer service, very expensive for this quality. It did not support my back, since the adjustment make so little change.
