For this one, Jack and Meg decamped to Memphis to record at the legendary Easley-McCain Studio and walked away with a bonafide classic. Unique for a White Stripes album, as it contains no covers, no guest musicians, no blues and no guitar solos, this album would be most of the world's introduction to the band. While the video for "Fell In Love With A Girl" could've single-handedly raised the price of LEGO stock the other jams on here are momentous, from the fuzz distorted clarion call of album opener "Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground" to the finger-pointing accusations of "I Think I Smell A Rat" this album has everything you could ever want from the Detroit duo.Cut directly from the original 1/4" master tapes, pressed on HEAVY 180-gram vinyl and lovingly ensconced in a beauteous Stoughton tip-on jacket...this album has never looked better, and perhaps, has looked markedly worse.THE WHITE STRIPES - WHITE BLOOD CELLS - 20TH ANNIVERSARY LP Review: Looks great - Great Review: A classic garage rock album! - This album, along with "De Stijl", proves that not only are The White Stripes here to stay but that they are true modern day legends. The Stripes prove once again that a duo can rock just as hard as any "full" band with their catchy and thought-provoking garage rock. Whereas other 5-star albums I've given received the rating due to either very interesting or very catchy songs, this one (and "White Blood Cells") contains both which is very rare. Jack White shows once more that he has a great singing voice which perfectly matches the songs (he's got a lot of charisma and charm). The lyrics are, once again, extremely well-written and quotable and they reward analyzation. Musically I don't think they're necessarily great musicians, but it's the WAY they play that makes them so wonderful (the songs are hardly complex musically but they somehow strike you as amazing. They use the limitations of their skills to a great advantage in creating extremely hard rockin' tunes (most of the time)). To have track each be a catchy song is one thing, but to also have exceptional lyrics gives these two albums a longevity most bands would KILL for. Any self-respecting music fan ought to own this album along with the other four Stripes albums out right now. Highlights include: the whole album!

Surprisingly good, toe tapping, and haunting.
I had reservations when I purchased this album. Normally a fan of the classic rock genre, I usually have trepidations when it comes to newer music. I wasn't let down by this youthful duo. First, the DVD is a nice bonus. Though I would not have paid too much extra for it. It contains several very fun and lighthearted music videos and some audio clips. All tracks on the CD are great. The band at some times sounds rich and loud similar to the hard gutair riffs of the Smashing Pumpkins or AC/DC, and at some times the band sounds softer such as in the lullaby-like "I think we are going to be friends". When listening to this CD, its hard to believe that this band only consists of Meg and Jack. Very rich sounds, playful melodies, and inspired lyrics. This in one up and coming band to pay attention to.

Amazing!
First off let me say this, to the person who did a review that it was "too long" has no idea what they are talking about. This record is not long at all, it's the average length of any other vinyl record. With that being said, it is absolutely amazing and is such a great sound on vinyl! Definitely worth the buy!

Great quality
Fast shipping, album came in perfect shape. It's 1 LP in a thick cardboard sleeve, no gatefold. I do like gatefold but I prefer 1 LP, less getting up and flipping albums... In my opinion this is the White Stripes best album and it sounds spectacular on vinyl. It's 180g vinyl and very heavy. I have a lot of "180g" vinyl albums that do not feel like they're 180g. This one truly feels its weight and you can hear it when it plays. There wasn't a single pop, skip or flaw on this album. Perfect.

The White Stripes nunca habían sonado tan bien.
