I have been wanting Profoto lights for some time now, so I finally took the plunge. I had a lot of trouble at first because I had to learn how the trigger works differently than most (tip: start in ttl, then switch to manual to fine tune!). Now that I understand the trigger system, the light quality is beautiful and consistent. However, I am having terrible issues with color! About 20% of my images have a purple/magenta hue. I did a custom white balance and still the color can be wildly different from one frame to the next. I don’t have any possible sources of contamination and I didn’t have this issue with my previous lights, so it has to be these lights. It’s driving me crazy.
