Good quality
Use it on my aeropress with paper filter too. Makes great cups. No grounds observed.

One time purchase but at what cost
I purchased aeropress because I didnโt like coffee grits at bottom of my cup from french press.I purchased able disk because I wanted to have full bodied cup.BUT even if its a fine disk it will definitely leave fine grits at the bottom of your cup although your cup will fill more full than paper.I wanted to give this able disk a shot so I ordered it.I really like a coffee oil and coffee body of metal filter but difference between paper and metal is thin but for that you have to experience it.Sometimes I forget to clean cup after drinking and when I reuse that cup after 12-24 hours its little bit hard to clean because of coffee grits stuck at the bottom.I was already using 1 paper filter a week with cleaning so cost and reusability was not an issue for me but taste and mouth feel was my concern. Its not a bad investment in your Aeropress but donโt expect drastic changes in your cup.

Purchased as a gift and would recommend this if you have an aeropress
This was added to a gift of an aeropress for my aunt who loves coffee. This disk worked great to hold back most particulate, and was very similar in brew quality to the included paper filters, if not better. Some replacement metal filters for the aeropress can make it a real workout just to get a cup of joe, but not this one. She said that it was no harder to depress the plunger than with the paper filters, which is great because she has mild arthritis in her hands. She goes on hiking trips and wanted a reliable, reusable filter that could help her eliminate waste, and this was perfect!

Works great.
I love this little guy. Ive been using the Aeropress for a year now with the included paper filters and always wanted to see if i was missing anything by not using a reusable filter. So I bought this filter and I'm glad I did. I wouldn't say that the coffee is better when I use this filter vs the paper. I would say its just a different style.... like it has little more depth to the taste. I like the 'fine' filter cause it really does keep almost all the grinds out. When I use this filter and i'm at the last sip of my coffee I can see a thin circle of silt at the bottom of my cup about the size of a nickel. I like to swirl my cup to mix the silt with the rest of the coffee and then savor the last sip.mmmm then I cant wait till tomorrow to have another cup! Also just so you know, this filter is really thin. It fits great on the Aeropress and creates a good seal. Because it's so thin it is kinda on the fragile side. I can see someone bending this filter if they are not mindful of it. It feels well engineered and would not consider this a design flaw but rather a character trait of this filter.

Better than paper
The first question that should come up with a product of this nature is: โDoes it make good coffee?โ The answer in this case is an unequivocal โYes!โ. There is none of the fiddling required to perfectly position the paper filters, it will hold vacuum for a steep of several minutes and no appreciable amount of sediment gets through. We had a wire mesh filter before this and it was pretty good. This one is better. I would recommend to any aeropress user - ditch your paper filters and get one of these!

Great for finely ground coffee
I've been trying to get as close as possible to an 'espresso' like shot and this fine permanent disk has worked great for this purpose. I am grinding just a tad courser than espresso level and the result with espresso roast has been amazing, more body and really strong. I am primarily using it to make 'shots' for Cappuccino's so I don't mind a bit more acidity. Pros - Reusable, very fine holes so little to no sediment, easy to clean, let's the oils through. Cons - A bit fragile, but with care I can see this filter lasting a very long time. I am happy to have chosen this permanent filter over the others that are out there. Able kept it simple, it's made in the US and it delivers as promise, what more could you ask for!
