I think this bulb was actually kind of expensive for what it is, and it wasn't even for me. My wife has some kind of Easter ornament thing that this light goes inside of, and the original had burnt out, and she just wanted it working again. I came to find out that none of the stores around me stocked this bulb, so I found this one on Amazon, and accepted the price, given the circumstances.Because of the design, it's pretty brainless to replace, and the bright compact light is what gives the faux 'fiber optic' effect, together with a little spinning colored plastic disk that spins around slowly, just above the bulb.Long story short, this bulb works just like the original did, was easy to install, and worked for at least one Easter time. That made my wife happy, which ultimately made me happy. Whether or not it works next Easter is not really something I'm concerned with, but I suspect the bulb will still work then, too.Given my circumstances and expectations, this bulb gets 5 stars. If I was using this on some seasonal display that I expected to work flawlessly year after year, I might be more critical. If the bulb were hard to install or easy to damage, again, I'd have some issues. If I needed a bunch of these and couldn't find them in some bulk purchase, I could imagine balking at the price. These are all things you should probably consider along with my review.

This year, we had misplaced the power supply for the fiber optic tree topper and we purchased 2 different replacement angels that were poor replacements. Naturally, just after Christmas we find the missing power supply only to find that the light bulb was burned out and the angel still didn't work The original bulb was a 6V 4.5W and this replacement bulb was listed as 5W. The slight difference in wattage wasn't an issue. I got the replacement installed and the angel works like a champ. The other notable difference is that this bulb comes with a a plastic lens cover and the original did not. This allowed the original to be attached to the angel using 2 small springs hooked over the lip of the bulb. Since I can't use the springs, I hope that the bulb doesn't come loose.Overall, I'm happy with this bulb!

This bulb was a good price and was delivered a couple days ahead of schedule. Packaging was solid and everything was intact. Plugged the bulb into our fiber-optic wreath and everything worked as expected. One thing to note is that this particular bulb does not have a cover/lens over the bulb so if your application requires it you'll want to use a different bulb such as this: JCR/M/6V/5W/ATH ATHALON 5W HALOGEN 6V MR11 G4 BIPIN BASE COVERED GLASS

Just a little disappointed it does not have a cover on the bulb like the original, but it's working and it was the right size.

Arrived packed well and served a great purpose. My wife had some of her village pieces (Christmas) go out and these Triangle Bulbs 5 Watt MR11 were perfect replacements. Got the 10 pack and replaced several, they have worked for many days since replacing them and have extra ones to spare for the upcoming years. Excellent purchase.

Our original bulb burned out after about 4 years of use. I ordered one with plenty of time before Christmas. Replacement came a week before. I replaced the bulb and it worked.. For 2 hours. I immediately ordered a replacement but it would not make it in time. Thankfully it was not our only tree for our son's first Christmas. We hope the replacement doesn't do the same thing next year.

looked all over god's creattion for this bulb. looked at radio shack, walmart, home depot, lowe's, kmart, target, you name it, and could not find this bulb anywhere!!! but, click on amazon, and wa-la-...there it is. this bulb is for my christmas angel ontop of my tree. the bulb burned out after about 5 years, and the wife wanted nothing else. so, i found this bulb on amazon, ordered TWO! (spare, just in case) shipping was o.k., but the price was amazing!!! will order again from seller when these bulbs burn out.

Our beautiful fiber-optic angel tree topper has not worked for the past two years; I have been on a search for a replacement angel but was unable to find one I liked nearly as well. I had a chance this year to really look at our angel and saw that the motor worked perfectly and it was just the bulb that was burned out. I am thrilled with our purchase of the Higuchi JCR8193 -- for only $5.25 our tree top angel is perfect!!

Measure & make sure you have the right voltage . Works fine.
