Not what I expected
I love Eccolo products but this book too small for what I was looking for. The lines on the pages seem to be a little off.

Nice makeshift journal
I bought this thinking it would fit in my journal but it didnt. I decided to use it on its own and it worked out still.

This was much nicer then it should have been for the price.
I ordered this on a whim thinking it would be good for a crafting project sometime soonish. Was very surprised with the quality. Real gilded paper edges. OMG. Heavy cardstock front and back. Very nice lined ivory paper. Was so impressed with the quality I decided to make something for my desk right away. Will be ordering more of these for more crafting projects.

Great overall, but gilded edges are a bummer
I’ve been using a leather 5x7 refillable journal from Barnes & Noble for 12+ years and have tried several refill types. Part of this is out of necessity, as the 5x7 size is extremely less common than 5x8 and others. This Eccolo journal refill would be about perfect if the pages weren’t gilded. It’s unnecessary, and in my opinion just unappealing aesthetically. If that was all, I’d be fine with it, but the gold paint actually brushes off easily on your fingers, which is a deal-breaker for me. I was going to send them back, but upon further searching found there are zero other options in the 5x7 size on Amazon, with very limited options elsewhere as well.My solution was to take the edges to a bench grinder, which solved the problem easily enough. But I’d love it if Eccolo made this same journal without the gilding...hopefully this would drop the price a bit too; the B&N version in this size I’ve used for years previously are Italian made and of a superior quality generally, but priced under $8 per refill. This also made bulk purchases easier.Lastly, on a couple positive notes: The binding is great in terms of how the book lays open for writing (hopefully it will prove durable as well). Better than the B&N/others on this point. Also the line spacing is perfect for me, and it does fit the journal cover perfectly (Barnes & Noble Leather Traveler’s Journal).

Finally one that works!
The eccolo insert that came with my journal was pure trash. It started coming apart by the end of the first week. I decided to take a chance on a second one because they are the only ones I could find that would fit. This one was perfect in every way. It stood up to manhandling in my bag in some pretty harsh elements and still kept looking like I had just bought it. Bravo, Eccolo! I'll be buying another soon!

Great product! Fits my journal well and also the pages are easy to write on and receive the ink well. I will buy more when I run out hahaha!

Beautiful Paper For Journal Refills
I purchased this along with the embossed Lions Crest Leather Journal I had bought as a gift. The paper is quite beautiful and the edges are gold embossed just like the paper in the journal so you're not losing that touch of elegance and whimsey. The ream of 256 pages is ample and very affordable. Making it a nice add-on to the Lions Crest Journal or for that matter any journal that can fit 5X7 inch pages which of course would be journals that measure 6x8 - a great buy.

Good quality paper
I use this in my leather journal binder. It slips in easily. The paper quality is good and doesn’t bleed through even though I use a fountain pen.I write every day.
