Gentle introduction to workbooks
CGP is a trusted brand and I am so pleased to see they are extending their range to appropriately support EYFS. This A4 workbook is packed with brightly coloured images and “games” for the children to do whilst subtly practicing their counting and number recognition from 1-10.Obviously working with EYFS students requires much adult input and this book supports you as the parent, to work with your child, gradually building up the complexity of the tasks. The age guideline for these exercises is for children aged 3-4. However, at this young age it is important to follow children's lead and only introduce the books when they are not only ready for counting, but for the fine motor skills needed for writing and colouring the numbers.

Have made toddler more interested in counting
We've got an advanced 2.5 year old and we thought to try this book. She absolutely loves it!She has shown a great interest in counting with this book, far more than when we encourage her to count in real life. She can now confidently count to 20 (still makes mistakes but that's normal) after only 2 days and she will pick up this book and bring it to us by herself. She's not so interested in painting the numbers yet, she seems to be excited in counting all the different items. This book also has activities like painting or finding sea animals and reading numbers. It starts fairly easy and gets harder towards the end. I'd say probably 3.5 years olds and upwards will get the most out of this very affordable workbook.

Happy kids
This counting activity book covers numbers 1 to 10. The activities help toddlers to learn the numbers' symbols and how to count out objects, giving context to the numbers rather than just learning by rote. The pages are bright and colourful with sweet illustrations, perfect in helping to keep young children engaged. It also covers how to write each number with tracing activities, where arrows show the direction in which to draw the lines.Towards the end of the book, the concept of more or less is also looked at.The pages are quite thin and not wipeable like others available, so once the activities are done and the pages have been written on, that's it, but for the price I still think its a good purchase.

Introduction To Counting
CGP are well known for their well constructed educational aids and this one aimed at 3-4 year olds is no exception. I've used these both in my professional life and at home with my nephew and now my little one is fast approaching this stage, this one is a great start looking at numbers and counting. It is a bright and colourful book that is easy to understand, use and engage little one's in a non stressful way. Perfect for use at home with parental support, this one introduces 3-4year olds to the numbers 0-10 and to counting skills such as identifying more or less and counting groups of objects. I would always recommend these and find them extremely useful.

Very well put together, lots of colours, animals and different activities
This paperback counting activity book by CGP is very well made. It features various colourful pictures integrated into counting skills ranging from 1 to 10 with other activities at the end. It’s very easy to follow and simple to use, which not only helps your child with their counting skills but also dexterity and improving colouring, drawing shapes, following the line etc. Very colourful, easy to read, much like the CGP books I had when I was at school, though mine had the odd joke inside which I loved. This was for my little one turning 3 soon but she's already got a grip of counting to 20 out loud, just struggles with counting objects as she always double counts objects. This book will be perfect to hone those abilities and help her count objects up to 10 without getting confused

Makes learning fun
These activity books are very good. They offer lots of activities and engage children. Nice and colourful it keeps my daughter interested in each activity. This is an activity we do supervised to get the most out of the book. She does work through the book quite quickly so I suppose the only negative is that this book can’t be used over and over again like other wipe clean versions as once pen is used it can’t be used again. Maybe use a pencil and rub it out if you want more use out of it. Definitely age relevant and at the current price of £2.50 I would recommend
