awesome
Absolutely LOVE this stuff. I bought it to hold my fabric together while sewing, but what I've used it for so far was sewing on patches to my boyfriend's cut (leather biker vest). It's temporary and washable, but dang.....I had never sewn patches before and it was a difficult project for me with a bulky leather jacket on a regular home sewing machine, but with all the rolling and twisting I had to do, the patches didn't budge and stayed flat as a pancake. I also sewed the edges of a fat quarter, then sprayed the whole back of it and plopped it on top of my washing machine. No more slipping and sliding every time I open the door! No more scratches on my machine no matter how hard my boyfriend tries to destroy it!!! lol... It's a little sticky on my fingers, but once dry, which is very very quickly, it rolls off like tacky glue. No smells...and it comes out clear, and if you use a lot, it's white...not sure what happens after it dries because those parts are hidden now. I didn't notice any issues with it gumming up my needle either. I'll update if any issues come up, but I doubt it!!

For Assembling Textile Projects
I bought this initially to help me assemble some trivets and bread basket liners I was making, and it works very well for that purpose. For the bread basket liners, I stitched around 3 sides, sprayed one side, placed the batting on it and pressed it in place, and it stayed while I turned it right side out and topstitched. Then, I helped a friend cut out about a million tiny little pieces for a project she was making, and we sprayed the pattern pieces, then glued them to the felt to be cut. I have to say, it worked like a charm! It would have been impossible to pin those pieces, some of which were 1/2" x 4" or 1" x 2", and cut accurately. This does dry out after a time, and it will come out in the washer. It's a great item, and I've purchased it a couple of times for projects I made during this holiday season. One thing to note is that you should put your project on paper before you spray it, because it's a real pain to take off your table or counter: I had to scrape it off my counter the first time, so now I only spray with newspaper under my project.

It's magic!
I really enjoy hand painting quilts. Putting them together is something I loathe!! When putting the front to the back I usually ended up with a crease that would necessitate my having to tediously remove the stitching and start over. It didn't matter how many pins I used to keep it in place. But no more!! I sprayed this magic substance on the blanket in the middle, laid on the top of the quilt and pressed. I let it sit for a few minutes, flipped it, sprayed again and laid on the back of the quilt. I let it sit and debated whether or not to use pins just to be sure. I decided to just go for it and it worked! I sewed the most beautiful quilt I have ever sewn with no pins to poke me while I sewed. It didn't gum up my sewing machine needle. It was just as soft and supple as my other quilts. I was actually laughing while I sewed! This stuff is the answer to a prayer and I just bought 4 more cans. I love it!

Better than pinning
Iโve used basting spray before but I remember the fumes and mess and just stuck with pins. After many crooked quilts and frustration, I had enough of pins and wanted to try spray again. This spray worked well. I watched some good tutorials on the proper way to spray a quilt and it made all the difference. I used it on a twin size quilt and used most of the contents for reference. Iโm happy with my finished quilt, it looks amazing.

Very happy with this temp adhesive
I am very happy with this adhesive. I sprayed the layers of my quilt (top, batting and backing) together to baste it. It held throughout the (domestic) machine quilting process. A few months later I sprayed another quilt. Other brands clog and therfore don't work for a second use. (Yes, I followed directions with the other spray and sprayed upside down to avoid clogging, to no avail! ) This one worked, and I'll buy it again when I run out! Worth it!!!
