ASOKO Under Desk Light, 16Inch Dimmable LED Under Cabinet Lighting, USB Plug in Cabinet Light for Kitchen/Shelf/Workbench/Cupboard, 3000K/4000K/6000K

I actually really LOVE this little light, it's EXACTLY the kind of thing I was looking for. I needed a little bar light to go underneath the cabinets above my monitors, something unobtrusive, and this really fits the bill. The fact that it is removable and portable is a nice little feature, though I doubt I'll use that feature for my current needs. The three different light colors/warmths, AND the fact that it is dimmable to a great extent are PERFECT for my needs. I needed light directly on my workspace and in front of my monitors, bright enough to light my desk specifically in an otherwise light room, but I also occasionally like to work at night, and don't like to advertise the fact that I'm here, and this little light is perfect to light my workspace without shedding a lot of light elsewhere. I can now work in the dark, yet still see what I'm doing, and dim the light to whatever level I need. The switch being about a third of the way down the cord is also perfect. I've attached it to the sidewall of my desk with the included clip (used the other one to clip the cord out of the way down the outside of the desk). I appreciate that it is NOT on the light bar itself - it's out of the way, but within reach, and I'm not constantly fiddling with the light bar, potentially causing problems with its placement or attachments. The cord is the perfect length for the light bar to be centered over my workspace, and the cord to drape behind the monitors, down the side of the desk, and wrap around to the front of my computer tower to plug into a USB port. (If I wanted to use the included wall plug, it might have *just* been long enough - but I might also have wanted an extension cord of sorts.) The two different styles of magnetic 'clips' are a great idea - you can use and place it in a variety of angles or configurations quite easily. I only needed the L-clips, but if I were using it strictly on a flat surface, the discs could be useful. The one caveat is that, yeah, the 3M adhesive foam bits are pretty crap. The first one, when I pulled off the backing, the actual sticky part came with it - so it was clear that piece was going to fail. The other one failed an hour later as well, and that was after leaving the adhesive to adhere without the weight of the bar for that hour. (And the bar itself is quite lightweight.) So - find yourself a different, better adhesive, and you'll be set. Probably either some genuine 3M Command strips, or those Command 'plastic velcro' bits, if you want something that's easily stickable/removable. I simply used a couple of strips of heavyweight Scotch "book tape" that I had laying around and I know to be very sticky to strap the L-clips to the backside of the cabinet edge - it's functional, and can't be seen. One more thing - it wasn't immediately obvious to me where the actual 'magnets' are in the strip. They are located ONLY at the ENDS of the light bar. Attach the magnets, THEN whatever you're using to stick the metal pieces to your location, and either mark the ends, or position the whole thing in place.

I love this item. It was installed on my PC desk, and the installation was quick and easy. I also love the fact that it works off a USB plug. So I plugged the USB into my PC and voila. Since it is dimmable, it provides just the right amount of light for different situations.

Good value. Works great. Had these for about 18 months, and the variable brightness and color temp make these ideal for my use. Took off one star for two issues. 1) the buttons to turn on/off and adjust brightness/color are covered with a thin and brittle plastic membrane rather than some kind of rubber. They’re all cracked & falling apart at this point. Still work, just not a quality implementation. 2) the cords should be reversible so you can decide to put the switch closer to the lamp or closer to the plug. Because mine are mounted under a shelf above a work surface, I had to both find a way to neatly accommodate the excess cord between the lights and the switch, THEN had to purchase two USB extension cables to reach the outlet (I’m not getting on my hands & knees under my desk every time I want to turn these on/off - nope!). I do wish the manufacturer would address these issues, even if they have to charge a few extra bucks!

Great improvement for counter/cabinet lighting in my dark hallway. Easy to install, on and off buttons.

During my shop expansion project, I needed some under shelf lighting. I looked at several that were available, and settled on the ASOKO brand. I had not used these particular lights, but they seemed like exactly what I needed. I purchased 1 of the 24" variety and installed them with the small metal adhesive brackets for the magnets in the strips. I wanted to try one first to see how they work and how well they illuminate the area. It worked out very nicely. A couple things I based my purchase on were; (1) the 3 available and switchable color temps, (2) the multiple mounting options, and (3) their very narrow form-factor that made them more easily to hide. I ended up stapling a piece of door-stop molding to the front of my shelf to help a bit. After deciding to keep the light strip, I purchased 2 of the 14.5" variety, as they were the perfect length for what I needed. I installed them with the brackets and have been very happy with these LED light strips. They come with a small USB power adapter and very pliable and soft cord. Since I liked these so much, I recently purchased a 2-pack. Great value for the money.

The subject line is accurate. The light has 3 different hues and multiple levels of brightness. At its peak, it works well under the cabinets of my new cubicle, as the light that was provided to me at work was way too powerful for being 6" from my face. This light works great for my application. Metal cabinets didn't need the adhesive pads and half elbows so spare parts! The power source came with it but the USB-A plug works plugged into my All-In-One PC just fine and with no issues. The wired controler tucks nicely under my cabinet and is easily the skinniest control I've ever seen in a light bar of any sort. The light bar itself is really narrow, which is great if you have anything sticking out that coukd make a wider and/or longer light bar more difficult to fit. However, one issue is if you use your nail to push the buttons on the control panel, the buttons themselves will indent quite easily as they are a bit soft to the touch. Otherwise, the light exceeded my expectations, but I do wish they were linkable (2 or 3 units) as that would make this a slam dunk product for sure!

Installed in basement for extra light, great light for my purpose, it is above some shelving on an angle and does great job lighting that area, magnetic feature made it easy to mount. Would buy again. Power cord is about 5 feet, which is excellent since I have it on the ceiling. On/off switch is about 3 feet down the cord from the light and 2 feet from the plug which again worked well for my application I have a flashlight that's 500 Lumens, I compared it to the brightness of this light and they appear to light the area the same (wide beam flashlight) Brightness is adjustable as well as light temperature - which is easy to adjust and functions excellent Good quality Recommend this light if it suits your needs

Great over the sink light. Does as described. 2 light modes warm and cool also dimmable. Easy access controls. The plug-in cable is long and small so easy to hide. Mounting is easy and the tape provided is good quality. Again I do recommend.

Love this! Works great, 2 different light setting and control bright or low lighting makes for great working conditions. Used it for desk lighting and also for behind the TV lighting.

In a perfect world, I would tweak a few minor things about this light. In the real world, however, it works pretty darn well, and completely satisfied my expectations. Time will tell if it stands up to extended use, but for now I'm quite happy with it.

Easy to install. The provided clips keep the wire tidy and not dangling. Good for those under-illuminated areas that don’t have enough space for a regular light fixture.
