MagLite K3A986Maglite Solitaire Incandescent 1-Cell AAA Flashlight Purple

I like this tiny flashlight because it fits on my keychain pretty well without being too obnoxious. It also has the twist top to change the beam which is helpful when I need to focus the light without making it too bright. It doesn’t turn on in my pocket like button lights sometimes do and the battery lasts a long time. I love the incandescent light for lighter duty tasks especially when I need to see without disturbing others too much.

Exactly what I was looking for, it’s an incandescent flashlight that isn’t offensively bright. I need it for middle of the night diaper changes. I co-sleep with our toddler also and I don’t want to disrupt anyone’s melatonin production with LED lighting while checking on the baby. Also nice for reading a book in the dark at bedtime without hurting our eyes. It’s not super bright so if brightness is what you’re looking for this isn’t the product for you. Almost every other flashlight out there is offensively bright, this was a lot of work to find and I’m happy I did! Purchased a few different colors, I’ll be leaving this review for all of them :)

I love Maglites. I love how they look. I love how they feel. I have more of them than one person should because I love always having one close at hand. But I don't love the Solitaire. At first, it's everything you'd expect from a Maglite. It's bright enough and the head rotates smoothly to turn the light on and off and adjust the beam width. You can remove the head completely for "candle mode" to light a small area all around the flashlight. These include a strap to attach it to a keychain, and that's how I use my Solitaire. If it's dark, I always have a light in my pocket so I can see where to put the key. But where you'd think a Mag would hold up to living in a pocket if any flashlight could, it doesn't. Even with a fresh battery, after a few months the light flickers and is dim, if it comes on at all. Sometimes it will if I tap it just right. So I replace the flashlight, and then the same thing happens again after another few months. It's a shame, because there's so much to like. The metal barrel is sturdy and its shape makes my keys easy to find. It comes in many colors. Since you twist it to turn it on, it never gets turned on by accident in your pocket. There's even a spare bulb in the tail cap, though I've never had to use it since the flashlight's mechanism always fails so soon. It's not such an expensive light that I can't afford to replace it, but Maglites aren't supposed to be disposable. This is the incandescent version, and I always buy the purple one. I may have to try the LED version next and see if it holds up better, but I sure will miss my purple since the LED Solitaire isn't available in that color.

When I selected this Micro Mag (Solitaire) flashlight, I totally missed the fact that the bulb was incandescent, and not LED. So that's my mistake, and I can deal with that. But even the incandescent bulb is useless. With a pointed beam, the light barely penetrates more than a few feet in front of you. I bought it for candling incubating eggs and even my lightest shelled eggs are too much for this light. It's too bad, because I really like the purple color but...the bulb is just far too weak to be useful for any purpose. I basically have a $10 paperweight now.

I bought this for two simple reasons..It's a Maglite...and it is PURPLE. Finally something besides 'boy' colors. It was my goof but this is a lot smaller than I thought I was ordering. However it's perfect for my keychain and gives off plenty of light. Plus it's made in the USA...can't go wrong

Nice small size for continuous carrying but not LED so not super bright.

Bought this for my wife to keep in her purse. It’s small so it fits nice and she loves the color. Nice and bright for its small size. MagLite is always a quality product. And it’s made in USA.

I bought this to replace a wee mini-mag I purchased years ago. I keep one in my purse and I can't tell you how often it's come in handy. If you need to find something you may have dropped in a dark place and don't want to light up the whole joint use one of these. The purple color is an extra bonus for me as it's MY color! Oh yeah it also arrived before the promised date and in purrrfect condition...TY!

A purple one arrived and after reading in detail, it is stated in purple when the picture shown was in pink.

El acabado no es precisamente el mejor. Por ser incandescente la iluminación es baja, solo 2 lumens. Te puede sacar de un apuro.

This tiny flashlight is super bright. It lights up a dark street at night and the battery lasts a reasonable length of time for the power. It is small enough to keep in your pocket. I use a AAA Ni-Zn rechargeable battery instead of alkaline, normal rechargeable Ni-Mh battery voltage is too low and doesn't work.

This is a handy little light and it fits nicely on a keychain. AAA batteries are easy to get and, if you use a good one, they last. The only problem with this light is that the incandescent bulb is woefully dim compared to LED. This works for a little light for my daughter, but I prefer something brighter.

Honestly it wasn't bright at all I was disappointed in it
