Standard junk plastic that barely works, and no instructions. No instructions. No instructions. Be sure you learn to use this elsewhere because they simply mail you the exact item shown. And it was all bent and torn up, making it difficult to view the actual results. But, it's very cheaply priced so I guess I got what I paid for.

The tape measure seems to only retract when it wants to. Very glitchy and the ratcheting stops for locking in a measurement only work about half the time. The calipers do not function nearly as well as the Accumeasure brand. The plastic piece that fits within the semicircular cutout is to small actually give you a tactile feel for when you have squeezed sufficiently. I contacted the seller but was just given the directions for use. Since I had clearly stated the issue with the device in my e-mail to them, they should have gotten the clue that I already knew how the device was supposed to work. Overall, an inferior version of the original products and not much cheaper to buy. Attempting to return now for a refund, however the order information shows the return window closed 11 April 2017. Today is March 15,2017, so I'm not sure why the window is already closed. Contacted Amazon and hopefully they can figure this out.

You get what you pay for... I had high hopes for this caliper I purchased to replace one I broke from leaving it in my gym bag, so I have some experience with the process. This particular model's second "arm" that clicks into the arm to tell you when to read the measurement doesn't actually "click" so it is exceptionally difficult to measure bodyfat with any sense of accuracy. The tape that comes with it is cool in principle, but after using it for a few months, it no longer retracts.

I've used calipers like this before. However, on mine, the little button that is supposed to "click" to tell you when to stop squeezing would never click. I tried it on fairly thick objects that won't compress much, like my knuckles or the tape measure. They all allowed the caliper to reach zero with not click. Seems there's some plastic residue blocking the clicker. I got it to work, but again, the calipers are measuring hard things with so much pressure the reading goes to zero. Is there a break-in period?

The item itself is fine but I'm giving it only 3 stars because the instructions on how to use it are pretty pitiful. For example there is a notch on the measuring device and nowhere does it tell you what it is or if it's supposed to play a part in the measuring so you are left guessing IF you took the right measurements.

The material looks really cheap and it does not "click" as it should, hence it is impossible to have an accurate measurement. Also, it came in a not-sealed "zip-lock" package, so it is impossible to know if it was new or not. Would recommend spending a few more dollars and buying a better one.UPDATE:The customer service got in touch and I could get the refund for the product without any problem. Because of the attention given, the product and the company deserve 4 stars.

The tape measure worked 10 seconds on first measure and it broke! Tape does not retract and the end piece broke off. Can't use it as a regular tape measure without the end piece because it doesn't start at "1". The caliper has difficulty clicking, but it wasn't worth me sending back, since I needed it for a class demonstration. I rated it a "2" because the caliper is usable, just doesn't easily click. Better off paying less money for caliper only and use a regular tape measure from the dollar store.

I've never used a body fat caliperator before but it was very easy. I was pleased to see that I wasn't as fat as I pictured myself! I chose to purchase one to see if it would motivate me into losing weight/ inches. I plan on using it weekly to monitor how I'm doing. So far, so good.
