Seems unbelievable at this price. Amazed at sound and build quality.
I can't tell the difference between these mics and the lav mic that comes with the Tascam DR-10L. These are actually slightly richer sounding with a warmer tone that seems to break the traditional expectation that lavs are usually a thinner sound than proper dialog mics. Does not come in a box. Packaged in a resealable clear plastic bag with the cable tie wrapped with clip mounted and wind screen attached. Black foam windscreen loose in bag. No frills, no warranty card, nothing else. Couple things that I noticed: 1. The wind screen is threaded. It will not come off accidentally. Every other lav i have with a windscreen pushes on and off, albeit, some are still rather snug, nonetheless, they can come off unexpectedly. Try to find it on any other mic, if it falls off outside in the grass. Your shoot is over unless you pack spares. No idea how to purchase spare threaded wind screens for this mic. At ten bucks each, I guess you just buy another bag of two mics for the price almost of the windscreen by itself. 2. The cable is plenty long to reach either the body pack transmitter or the portable body recorder. 3. The plug appears to be gold plated. No connection problems encountered on bench testing. 4. The connector collar is knurled and works smoothly to cinch up the mic to threaded 1/8" input jack on DR-10L. 5. Plug fits snugly into capsule of Zoom H5 and snaps in tightly despite not being a threaded jack. 6. I did not test the foam wind screen. It will not mount on the mic unless you first remove the metal wind screen first. 7. The diameter is slightly larger than the Senn ME2. ME2 mic clips are too small to fit around these mics, but not by much. Just barely will NOT fit. 8. The mic clips that come with the mic are sturdy, but the spring tension is very very tight, making it nearly impossible to open the clip wide enough to mount on subject's clothing. I am expecting considerable fumbling on my part to mount this mic with the included clip until i find replacement clips that are easier on my fingers to open. 9. For around 10 bucks each, you could by 2 dozen of these mics for the price of one ME2. That means you can consider these almost disposable for the price. 10. Although it's an omni polar pattern, side and rear rejection is still decent for wind and other ambience, which also means that placement and position on the subject is critical to capturing clear dialog. There is noticeable fall off when the mic is not pointed directly at the subject's mouth. I noticed a considerable loss of mids and highs when slightly mounted off axis. 11. Of the two mics in the package, it seemed like they had a different output level at first. One required more gain at first, but then, with further testing, i wasn't so sure after all. Gain setting for -12 dB range on H5 capsule was about 5 or so. 12. I wanted a cheap mic that sounds good for spares for back up on my Tascam DR-10L's, so these do that job admirably. No telling how reliable they'll be, but for ten bucks, i can buy plenty more, priced almost like Jelly Beans.

Gets the job done.
Great budget replacement for wireless packs.

Good Quality
I bought this to replace an Sennheiser lapel which is much cheaper than buying a new one or repairing it. I have never understood why some stuff is just expensive because of a brand. These worked well, I am pleased with the sound results. I see virtually no difference.

Fits and picks up sound well
This was very easy to install on a lapel mic. This picks up sound well and the cord length is perfect for having the lapel part in your pocket and the clip on your shirt and/or tie. This was a cheaper solution and picks up sound great!

Wedding videographers avoid these lavaliers like a plague. Others proceed with caution.
These things are cheap, and you get what you paid for, so you can't complain much. In the quiet indoor environment, these lavs will do a decent job. However, if you try to use them outdoors or you are inside and there is a fan, or forced air, or any other background noise these lavs will not just pick it up and even amplify that sound, making your recording useless for virtually any paid work. What I do like about them is the fact that they don't transfer the rustling sound lavs make when the wires rub against clothing.
