Nice and bright
Love this lamp! I do not have a ceiling light in the bedroom. I keep this lamp against a wall so it works with my light switch. It points slightly on an angle toward the room. On the brightest setting, it lights up the entire room. There are three variations of brightness. I usually default it to the dimmest setting, but when I need the whole room brightened, this lamp is the answer!

Great source of light. 3 Dimmer Settings. Warm Color & Easy Setup.
I purchased this light for my bedroom, and I absolutely love it! Assembly was very quick and easy. Immediately noticeable is the warm color temperature of this light compared to other LED solutions. I like the light quality even better than the old halogen lamp that I used to have *(it used to attract bugs and get very hot... this one does not!). The light is bright immediately and stays bright; no warming up needed. It's slim and light in weight, but the base is very sturdy. The 3 settings of brightness are very convenient. If I were to be very picky: I wish it had 4 or 5 settings, as the dimmest one is not very dim, but it makes for a pleasant atmosphere. I propped the base of the lamp on top of a 1-inch thick book to make it stand a bit taller. This was a simple and effective solution to the fact that this lamp does not feature a 'bowl' at the top... it's flat. I'm six feet tall, and did notice that it shined in my eyes a bit without the extra elevation of the 1 inch thick book or another supportive object placed under the base. Maybe the manufacturers can offer a model that stands a bit taller, but 1-inch is an easy fix as described above. I like that the top of the lamp tilts in order to adjust the direction of the light source. I added an Amazon Alexa smart plug to the purchase with the understanding (from reading the reviews here) that a smart plug would switch the light on and off, but the light always defaults to the brightest setting when switched on. This was indeed true. It would be a nice if the manufacturers found a way for the light to remember which brightness setting it had last... or include a remote control with the unit that adjusts on/off & brightness. I encourage them find a way to incorporate this into future products. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase. Price point is affordable. I would highly recommend this solution for any room in the house or business. I plan on purchasing more of these units for other rooms in my home. Not perfect, but still deserves 5 out of 5 Stars!

Excellent warranty!
I love the lamp. It's nice and bright, and lights up an entire room without casting many shadows. But the real reason I came here to write a review is because their warranty is excellent. It's a generous 3-year warranty for products acquired through authorized sales partners (like Amazon) and a 5-year warranty for products bought on the Brightech website. When my light stopped functioning after purchasing it more than a year ago, it was painless and quick to contact customer service and be sent a new adapter (which they thought was the problem). The adapter did not work, so they immediately sent me a brand new lamp that is working perfectly. I did not have to send back the defective lamp or the second adapter they had sent me. And the warranty is still good for another two years! Highly recommend.

5 stars for powered outlet use, 3 stars for switched outlet use.
Revised review after owning two lamps for several weeks: The lamp came in a compact box, but assembled very easily. Seems to be well constructed, and the fact the head is so light allows the entire lamp to be so sleek without being wobbly - the base weight is heavy enough, and it works well on carpet as well as hard floors. The lamp lights up the room better than my previous 3 fluorescent tube lamp. It is instant on (using the pole switch - see comments following) with several dim levels and a beautiful sleek touch switch. Seems about 3000K color temperature(slight warm side of white, but not paper white). The lamp uses a (switching, not heavy transformer) "wall wart", with a somewhat kinky cord to connect which can be straightened acceptably by hand. The tilting head I could see two ways - giving you versatility to light the walls more when wanted, or something you have to keep straight. Luckily it is a firm enough adjustment that won't' fall out of true unless manually adjusted, so win-win. The only issue is a moderate problem for people who will plug this lamp into a switched outlet, e.g. you switch it on from the wall when you walk in the room. When switched on remotely (or plugged in initially when the lamp had been left "on"). With power first supplied to the power supply, there is about a 4 second delay before the lamp comes on. Once it comes on, it is immediately full brightness, but the delay can be rather confusing - "did I turn on the switch or not - what's happening here". For those users (which is how I use the lamp) I need to take off a few stars, and hope a future redesign can reduce the power-up delay. For people, like most who plug this in the wall, this is not an issue at all - when you hit the switch on the pole, the light appears instantly and all is well - an easy 5 stars for that use-case.

Bright and Beautiful – A Floor Lamp That Truly Elevates a Room
Bright and Beautiful – A Floor Lamp That Truly Elevates a Room I’ve been using the Brightech Sky LED Floor Lamp for a few weeks now, and it has become one of those pieces that I didn’t realize I needed until it was in place. The first thing that stands out is how much light this puts out—it really does fill the room with a clean, bright light without feeling harsh. It’s perfect in my living room where I use it for both reading in the evenings and adding extra brightness during gatherings. The build is solid but sleek, with a tall, slim profile that tucks neatly into a corner. The bronze finish gives it a subtle touch of class without drawing too much attention to itself. The head angles slightly, letting me direct the light just where I want it, which makes it more versatile than a fixed torch lamp. One of my favorite features is the dimmable function. With just a simple touch, I can adjust the brightness from an all-out “sunlight” level down to a soft, cozy glow. That flexibility makes it equally useful for reading or just creating a relaxing evening ambiance. I also appreciate the energy efficiency—this LED uses a fraction of the power of traditional bulbs, which means no guilt about keeping it on longer. If I had to note something for others to keep in mind, it’s that this lamp is designed for function and brightness over decoration. If you’re looking for an ornate or decorative centerpiece, this is more minimalist and modern in its style. For me, that’s exactly what I wanted, but it’s worth knowing. Bottom line: A bright, elegant, and functional lamp that instantly improves both the look and feel of a room. Highly recommended if you want a reliable, dimmable light source that blends in seamlessly with different décor styles.

Beautiful and sleek ambient light for the whole room, with some caveats
This lamp is so amazing, I bought three of them. I point it to the wall and it really does light up my whole living room with comfortable indirect light. The design is sleek and low-profile, exactly the kind of minimalist aesthetic that I love. The price is awesome for the amount of light that it brings, and it's great to never have to worry about light bulbs, since LEDs last so long. That being said, here are a few notes on the lamp: 1. It does not play well with switches, so if you want to control it from across the room, you have to wait a few seconds after you flick the switch (between 2 - 5 seconds on average) for it to turn on. However, touching the panel on the light when it's plugged into a live outlet always turns the light on instantly. I've tested a few things: if I leave the lamp at the lowest brightness setting and flick the switch off and on, it does not turn on faster than if left on the highest brightness. If I flick the switch off and on really quick, the lamp seems to turn on slightly faster than with a longer pause. I think this means that the controller in the stem of the lamp itself is what takes a few seconds to start up, but it isn't worth it to me to figure out how to circumvent the internal controller by directly applying different voltage inputs. TL;DR it responds to the touch panel instantly, but takes a few seconds to turn on if you plug it into a switch. 2. It's a little shorter than other floor lamps I'm used to. I point it to the wall because I like ambient light, so this isn't a problem, but if you point it toward the room, be prepared to be optically dazzled. 3. The lamp cycles from brightest - medium - dimmest - off when you touch the panel. I personally find it a bit of a pain to touch the panel 3 times to turn it off, since I only ever use the brightest setting. Not a dealbreaker. All in all, an awesome lamp. So awesome that I wrote a giant review for it, and I own three of them. Hope this helps in your decision!

die and collect in requiring delicate and labor-some removal periodically like was required for the hot halogen lamp
I replaced a 300-watt halogen tochiere lamp I had for years. It required replacing the bulb every 2 to 7 years, but at least the bulbs could be replaced. That is a drawback to this lamp as the led array cannot be replaced. So when the led's give out after 10 to 20 years, if the lamp makes it that long (I'm hoping), the lamp will have to just be discarded. The newer halogen bulbs now all made in China didn't last as long as the original ones even though they are cheaper. Finally it seemed that the rheostat failed as well and my attempt to replace it didn't prove successful to get my halogen lamp operational again: new bulbs either only lasted one lighting or never worked at all. I would judge that this led lamp has a similar "hotness" as my old halogen lamp... neither more yellow or blue. I never had a 190-watt halogen, but I imagine that this intensity approximately mimics that level because it is similar to when I had my 300-watt halogen at about 2/3 intensity which is the level I usually kept that lamp at.I have a white ceiling and it reflects similarly as my defunct 300-watt halogen lamp did, although the flat lamp top led lamp beams the lighting more directly straight out up to the ceiling than the bowl dispersion of the halogen did. The height of this lamp is about 4 1/2 inches shorter than the halogen torchiere it replaced. I am about 72 1/2" tall and the lamp would be somewhat in my eyes if I was any taller, the light of the led array would be somewhat directly in the eyes of a taller person. The lamp top can be pivoted about 20 degrees. This might be helpful if your lamp is near a wall and could be angled toward the wall to prevent the lighting in your eyes when you walk around the lamp. Away from the wall, any angle would be in your eyes at some position around the lamp. The angling of the lamp can somewhat change where the light is brightest, but not greatly. I also suppose if your ceilings were darker the change would be even less. Another factor that another reviewer mentioned that I can see will be helpful is that there is no space between the cover and the led array for bugs to fry, die and collect in requiring delicate and labor-some removal periodically like was required for the hot halogen lamp. I am looking forward to the ongoing reduced electricity usage of this 30-watt lamp over time compared to my old 300-watt halogen too. The lamp was easy to assembly and sits solidly. It has a weighted base that is totally adequate for the overall weight and width of the lamp. This lamp is likely half the weight of the halogen torchiere and requires half the weight to stabilize it.The lamp top is 9 3/4 inches in diameter while the base is 10 inches in diameter and 1 inches thick. The pole is 3/4 inches in diameter. By comparison, the base of my old halogen torchiere was 11 inches in diameter and 1 1/2 inches thick. It's pole was 1 1/2 inches in diameter. I have made all these references to the halogen torchiere as a comparison because I have read from previous reviewers that they, like me, reluctantly and as a final necessity had to replace their old halogen lamps which most of them liked a lot as I did. So, I'm sure that many future buyers will be in our same boat and want to know what they will be getting as a comparison to what they have been used to. The length of the cord from the transformer plugged into wall to the lamp base is 6 feet. At the edge of the base a connector plugs into the lamp cord running up through the middle of the pole. There are 4 pole sections that screw easily and tightly together. At the top of the 3rd section from the base, there is a connector that plugs into the final wire running through the top section to the lamp top. By the way, aesthetically it is certainly NOT ugly (mine is black), although it is certainly somewhat minimalist and understated compared to other larger flare-shaped torchiere lamps most people are used to. I find that we are using this lamp 80% of the time at the brightest level and the other 20% spread between the two lower intensities. One last thing, if you connect the lamp; to a switched outlet, that switch IS usable with this lamp. The answer to that question seemed a bit ambiguous from other reviews I read before purchasing this lamp. How long the switch is off determines how long it takes for the lamp to turn on. If the switch is off for only a few seconds, the lamp will come on in under 2 seconds. If it has been off for over 10 minutes, the lamp will take about 4 seconds to light, and it always comes on at the brightest setting no matter what level it had been at when the switch was turned off.

Great lamp
Works exactly as I needed. Would have liked a remote bug wasn’t necessary.

I keep calling this the "Sun" lamp, not "Sky" lamp
So bright! Which is great, as sometimes I need a lot more lot than the single-bulb, almost-century-old ceiling light fixture in this room can provide. I keep calling this the "Sun" lamp when it is on its highest setting. Nice stepdown between the 3 brightness levels. Lowest is good ambient light, middle good for most everyday lighting needs, highest for when you really need to see well. Very simple and quick to put together, took maybe 5 minutes. The midcentury-inspired brass finish is a lovely touch, and the slim profile means it fits into some fairly tight spaces. Might pick up a second one for another room!
