LensPen LP-1 Camera Lens Cleaner

I decided to use my Canon HFS-20 camcorder (has a 58mm lens) to shoot a sunset by a beach up in Cambria, CA. The video came out great, but my lens ended up with salt spray all over it. I was worried that the LensPen would smudge things up worse or scratch the lens, but it completely removed the residue and the lens was as good as new! It did take two cleanings (after the first attempt, I put the cap back on and gave it a quarter turn twist to renew the carbon as per the instructions) to get the lens completely clean. Since my sea spray experience, I bought a UV filter to protect the lens. I've used the LensPen to clean this filter as well, and it works well for that. I also accidentally got a fingerprint on the lens of my Canon XS Kit 58mm lens, and the LensPen again got rid of it in just a few rubs of the carbon tip. The brush end is great for getting rid of loose dust/dirt and it's nice that it stays clean by retracting into the body of the pen. It fits easily in a side pocket of cases (and is very light) and is a convenient way to safely clean your lenses.

A very simple and handy tool for the cleaning and care of your lenses and lens filters. The brush is very useful for cleaning the nooks and crannies of both lens and camera, especially dSLR type cameras. The retractable brush is an excellent feature and the lens cleaning pad does a great job of removing marks, haze and the like, but if used with a dedicated lens cloth, the overall finish can be improved greatly. It's a lightweight tool that will fit in your camera bag and doesn't take up any space per-se, and no doubt will be used frequently when out and about. In conclusion, it's a cost effective and efficient tool and as the title says it all.

Ero un po' scettico e invece mi sono ricreduto. La lenspen è comoda da portarsi dietro e facilissima da usare! Va usata accoppiata ad una pompa a soffietto, per eliminare tutta la polvere accumulatasi sulla lente, successivamente si passa la lenspen dalla parte delle setole per ultimare la pulizia della polvere (soprattutto sui bordi interni della lente). L'ultimo passo è quello di usare la lenspen dalla parte piatta con movimenti circolari dal centro della lente verso l'esterno. La lenspen è comunque dotata di istruzioni, che sono veramente facili da seguire. Come si può leggere in rete, la parte piatta pulisce la lente senza graffiarla, e libera la sua superficie da tutte le ditate e dagli aloni di sporco che pian piano si accumulano, utilizzando della polvere di carbone. Funziona proprio come il vecchio metodo della nonna, che per pulire i vetri utilizza fogli di giornale umiditi, che grazie all'inchiostro detergono al meglio le superfici in vetro, ma senza le controindicazioni di quest'ultimo! Non so se ci sono differenze con altre penne dello stesso tipo, ma questa, l'originale, è fantastica. è diventato il mio metodo di pulizia preferito per le lenti.

En muy poco espacio llevas lo qeu necesitas para mantener los objetivos limpios. La punta para quitar la grasa y el pincel extraible en un único lápiz fácil de guardar son muy útiles cuando estás fuera de casa.
