The part works like factory
If you are mechanically inclined you can take your lock apart and put it back together but it's tricky . The only thing I found problematic is the very soft metal c clip that holds everything together you may want to keep your old c-clip and use it . Grease all the parts before reassembly .

Kit comes with everything you need except instructions and tools. I got very lucky, and stumbled across an on-line video that showed how to swap out the old parts and replace them with the new ones.

This does not fit 1999 cabrio like the add said it does. It don't. Not even close.
