Great product.
I havn't try other off-brand solution other than the standard zeiss wipe. I knew this from a DPReview TV video, when Chris showing his bag and he recommanded ROR for all lenses. It works fabulously. It works on Macbook screen (which is notorious for easy destroyable coating by poor design), a Zeiss-coated glasses, and some of my vintage lenses that havn't been cleaned for a decent ten year. It works like a charm! Especially with glasses, I always ran mine in ultrasonic cleaner (which is good), but first time using ROR makes it a touch more clear and transparent, which is honestly impressive. However, I'll say I kind of didn't get why they have a spray bottle if the only thing you do is apply a little bit to microfibre cloth. The droplet bottle is way enough. I guess it is just weird to make a 2oz droplet bottle somehow. Anyway, don't spray it on the object, spray it on the cloth.Btw: I havn't, and from sources probably won't use it to clean VR lenses, which mostly are fresnel and plastic, and even pure alcoholic cleaner could smear them. Meta says only use optical microfibre cloth cleaner so I'm doing that.

Great product poor shipping
Of course the product itself is terrific, but the cap was not adequately tightened prior to shipping. Some liquid leaked through the plastic bag and soaked into the cardboard box. Not enough of a problem to warrant replacement, but it did make a mess.

Technique for polarizing filters
I put a small partial finger mark on a brand new 72mm Tiffen circular polarizing filter. After applying about half a drop of ROR using an all cotton Q-tip and removing with a couple more it looked okay. I then decided to give the whole outer filter surface a clean using a fresh Q-tip with 3 drops of ROR, starting at the center with a gentle circular motion towards the edge. Air drying looked streaky as did drying using a new Q-tip (see nvg partial photo to get an idea). This method only makes things worse. I next purchased a 100 sheets of Rosco Lens Tissue from Amazon. I first tried a method described on the Tiffen lens tissue reviews: roll/fold one lens tissue quite tightly and tear into 2 pieces by pulling on each end (this is only possible by wetting the middle with a couple drops of ROR), then use the torn ends to swab the filter after extra wetting with 1-2 drops ROR. This didn't work for me - the results were similar to the Q-tip method. I next tried fold/rolling one tissue as before and by holding each end forcing the folded cylinder into a U-shaped form. I then wetted the bottom of the U with 3 drops ROR and dragged it from one side of the filter to the other, finishing with a circular motion to bring the flat tissue surface next to the metal edge of the filter. I then dried any remaining surface liquid with an air blower. Most of the filter now looked clear and clean but there were still streaks and dots next to the edge where the tissue finished up. Q-tips + ROR were tried and again did not help here so I prepared an fresh U-shaped tissue + ROR and used it just on this area and was able to get the whole filter looking satisfactory.

The ONLY cleaner you should be using on professional equipment
I was recommended this product by a printing technician here in Chicago. He noted that it was extremely delicate on lens coatings, yet worked extremely well for cleaning. I can attest. I have been using this lens cleaner for more than 3 years now and I can never go back to the cheaper alternatives. If you care for your photography equipment, use this product!

Excellent for cleaning binoculars
My husband is very meticulous about the products he uses to clean his binoculars and spotting scope. We could not find an acceptable product in local stores. I looked through many listings on Amazon before deciding on this product. He told me just last week how well it works (paired with lens papers I also purchased on Amazon).
