Leather Strap Medium Brown

I recently purchased the 3/4 leather roll strap for my hobby horse bridles, and I must say, it has been a game changer. I used these leather straps to make handles for crocheted wine bottle holders, and they worked great! The leather is thick and sturdy, and punching holes to attach them was easy. For the most part, this is good leather—good color, pliable, proper weight. However, the last 14 inches of one end of the strap is not up to the same standard. I know that real leather contains variations, but 14” out of 72” is a pretty significant amount of what I paid for. The end is significantly thinner and patchier in color, and since I need consistent thickness for my project, I can’t use it. That’s approximately 20% of what I paid for that I can’t use. If this was cheap leather, I wouldn’t have an issue, but this is supposed to be of higher quality, so this is rather disappointing. 80% useable, so 4/5 stars.

More brown than burgundy. Works well all the same in my use cases. Durable, tough to punch, easy to trim. How does that even happen?

Have always found this brand to be good quality, precision cut genuine leather at a decent price. Would like to see a 1 1/4" width strap from TOFL for belting.

First time ordering medium brown (pictured as keychain/finished product I made) Second time ordering medium brown (pictured as roll of leather) The first time I bought 5 different colors and they all blew me out of the park. I went to re order one of the colors I had bought initially and not only is it a completely different shade/thickness this time but also the quality of the leather is much less. The first time I got this beautiful shiny, tough, walnut colored strap that was supple and just amazingly beautiful. I ordered the exact same color/size this time and I’m disappointed to say it’s not anywhere near the same as the first. :( just honestly really sad. I was hoping I could rely on this company to reproduce the same color twice but now I’m just really really sad I have to find someone new all over again. (I use leather in all my products)
