Genie authentic G3T-R 3-button Intellicode garage door opener remote with, works only on Genie openers, single pack

Great product and definitely worth the money. As a renter, my landlord gave me two remotes for the garage — one original Genie remote and another generic brand. Unfortunately, the generic remote stopped working in less than a month, which is why I decided to purchase this original Genie replacement. I honestly did not know the exact year of my garage system, but I tried to match the model as best as possible using the Amazon options, and thankfully it worked perfectly. It was super easy to install and program. The price is a little higher compared to off-brand remotes, but the Genie brand definitely speaks for itself. You can immediately tell the difference in quality and reliability. It was also very well packed and arrived in excellent condition. Very happy with this purchase and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable garage remote replacement.

Perfect. I rent and the single garage remote I was provided has never worked on the first or second or third try. After changing the batteries and reprogramming the remote repeatedly, I decided to look for a replacement. Functions well. No longer a frustration. Easy to use!

Really easy to install ultimately. However, the directions on the leaflet are unclear. Go to uTube. We did and it was quite simple once we watched the video.

Overpriced, but evidently only the name brand ones work for my garage. Tried 2 generics that wouldn't program. Wish there was a keychain version.

Was able to easily pair this with my Genie 2024 model motor. It did force me to reset my code on my universal keyless entry.

My original Genie garage door opener remote had been a faithful companion for over twenty years, but it's single, circular button had literally melted to sticky goo. I had my doubts when I received this replacement remote because my Genie garage door opener is older than 1995--it was installed when the house was built in 1977. I had no luck programming it from reading the included instructions or watching Genie's YouTube videos. I was stuck until I read the Amazon user reviews which explained how to activate Intellicode 1. A few short minutes later--success! If, like me, you have an older Genie garage door opener, you may also have to activate Intellicode 1 to make it work. Here's how to do it: First of all, make sure you and others are clear of the garage door while you're programming the garage door opener. You don't want any pets or children around while you're doing this, for their safety, because the door moves rather abruptly if your programming is successful. It may startle you too, so be prepared if you're standing on a ladder so that you can reach the opener's "learn" button. You don't want to fall off when the door suddenly opens! All right, let's get down to business: Pull out the plastic tab from your remote to activate its internal battery. Choose one of the three buttons on your remote and hold it down for about ten seconds, until the red LED also turns green. Both colors, red and green, will be visible within the bulb. Next, push the "Learn" button on your Genie garage door opener. A red light will come on beside the button on the unit. Then, on your remote, press once and release the same button you held down for ten seconds just once. The red light on the opener will flash red rapidly. Press once and release the same button on your remote again, and the red light will go off. Press the same button on your remote one more time and the garage door will open or close, depending on its previous position. That's all there is to it! I like the compact size of this unit and the way it clips securely to my sun visor. The visor clip fits snugly to the remote, too, and should stay there. I've read some reviews that this remote is spotty and doesn't always work. I'll let you know how mine performs in a later review. For now, I'm happy that I have a garage door opener remote that works. Hope this helps.

I moved into a new house with a sweet double garage and found the owner had the remotes taken by the previous tenant. Obviously not the ideal situation! Luckily, I was able to find these OEM Genie replacement remotes, and though there was no reliable info on whether these would work with the Genie 2020L model opener, I decided to pull the trigger anyway in the name of SCIENCE! Programming the remotes to the opener was easy as can be, press the button inside the opener housing, and click the button of your choice twice on the remote. The opener unit itself has the option to delete all previous remotes, which I took advantage of, knowing someone else has the original remotes. Overall, for the price, ease of use, and the fact that I lucked out into exactly what I needed, gotta give this remote 5 stars!
