Some cleaning tips
In order to 'fully' disassemble the unit, you have to remove the rubber cap at some point. But since the rubber is so strong, it'll be a giant pain to remove it. However, I found an easy way to remove it that has not damaged the unit.1) There is a main point where the unit disconnects. It has three lined notches on the plastic. Once you turn the notices so the "2nd" notch lines up with the piece that actually connects into the hose, you can disconnect this piece. Source has some instructions on their website, so follow those to pull the unit initially into two pieces.2) Once the rubber / spring assembly side is disconnected from part that connects directly into the hose, you want to push the tip of the rubber against something like your palm, and hold it slightly squished down. This will flood the chamber with air and cause the rubber to release a bit from the plastic groove it latches onto internally.3) Use a thin flat head screwdriver, with rounded edges preferably, to gently wedge between the rubber and the plastic at the base. Since the chamber is flooded with air, it's easier for the screwdriver to get under the rubber at first. It's FAR easier to do this then using your fingernails to pry up and possibly break the rubber. Just inch the screwdriver around the inside of the rubber cap to dislodge it carefully, and pull slightly as you go to release it. Rounded edges on the screwdriver sides will ensure it doesn't damage the rubber.4) Follow the rest of the source instructions for after the cap is removed.Even though it is not necessary to disassemble fully like this each time, it seems quite easy to just leave everything nice and opened and let it completely air out.Hope this helps save someone some grief in the cleaning process.

Solid Bite Valve, but not Hydrolink-able
Solid piece of gear from Source, like usual. I wanted a 90° bite valve. I was using a Camelbak Hydrolink with with thier big bute valve. Well this Source valve is NOT compatible with Camelbak's Hydrolink quick connect piece. The Helix, and I'm assuming their Storm valve too, do not have a long enough tube that gies into the Hydrolink connector. It will go in but WILL NOT lock in. Just a slight pull and it will come out.

Good replacement for camelbak quicklink hydrolock bite valve
I needed a 90 degree bite valve but camelbak doesn't currently offer one so I found this. I was a bit hesitate buying this valve since some reviewers say it won't fit a camelbak quicklink some say it would. I have prime with free return so worst case I could still get my money back. When it arrived I tried to put in on my antidote tube and it actually fits, although not perfectly. I can see the release button didn't come all the way up when the valve is fulled inserted. I felt it was secure enough I just went ahead and ran with it. When comparing against the camelbak bite valve, the chock on the source helix, where the quicklink connector engages on the valve is a bit narrower than it was on the camelbak but like I have said, the connector was able to engage it nonetheless.Using this valve is nice, I like the fact that is is 90 degree so I don't have to pull a lot of tube in front of me in order to drink from it. The cap fits very tight in the beginning and it took me a while to learn how to take it off with one hand. This is also where I must point out the biggest shortcoming of the helix valve, it is very annoying that I can't easily close the cap with one hand. Coming from a camelbak bite valve that has a cap connected via a more rigid silicon band, it was easy to open or close the cap with just one hand, but the cap on this valve is attached via a string, so when I'm drinking while walking/running, the cap flies everywhere, I then have to catch it with my hand, try to get it back on the valve which is now also flying around since my other hand is holding my weapon/gear. You got the picture, I hope.Overall I would recommend you giving this valve a try especially if you want a 90 degree bite valve, If you are worried it may not fit your camelbak tube, try getting the tube with the valve together from source, as I understood the tube that connects to the bladder uses the same connector as the recent camelbak (quicklink)

Much better flow
The stock bit has nothing on this one. The cover is the best.

Excellent
Adding a high flow bite valve to the basic water bottle system elevated the joint products to 5 stars. Improvement over the standard mouthpiece.

Very happy with this valve
Fits perfectly on my Source Tactical bladder that I purchased from the GoRuck site. The bite valve is much easier to use and I have less leaking issues than the pull-open valve that the bladder came with. For example, if you leave the pull-open valve open to dry it out, and forget to close it when you fill your bladder, it will leak all over the place. Very happy with this valve.

Much improved over storm mouth piece
I love the Source hydration products but have recently switched to the Helix mouthpiece. In found that the storm could get stuck in the close position and would struggle to find the correct orientation to be able to get it open again without a lot of fiddling. The Helix is a much better design with a window twist action. There is a bite valve so not sure how long or many uses that will last but it’s so much quicker to get the water I need now.

Très bonne valve
Débit d'eau suffisant, système de déverrouillage de valve (tourner l'embout pour sécuriser l'arrivée d'eau), le capuchon anti-poussière (qui parait un peu fragile). Bon produit. (Testé)

Am now a big fan of the Source Tactical 'system'.
Easy to clip on and off, doesn't leak. As some people have commented it hard in the mouth unlike a soft bite valve. Requires a hand to pull out the valve. If you want to lock the valve closed, a 1/6th turn and therefore need to un'turn' to unlock before you pull it out. Personally, this works for me. And of course, the cap for dust/dirt and to avoid unintended opening. Once open, the water will pour out, so the 3 layers of protection is a good thing.Compatible with quick mate and UMT fittings. Can take the valve off, to thread hose through small openings, then put valve on. Source makes a filler you can use to fill the bladder in your pack/ molle setup and although it is a little tricky to use, I love it.

Best Valve Ever!!!
Ottima variante; per me preferibile. La pulizia è anche semplice. Basta alloneare durante la rotazione la linea incisa sulla valvola a morso con quella dell'adattatore e si stacca con leggera trazione. Top!
