This isn't political commentary, I'm just explaining how I use this product. The police seem unaware of the 1st Amendment of the Constitution, which guarantees freedom of the press. Like all of the other rights, like speech, religion, and etc., everyone has freedom of the press. If you have a cellphone and can post pictures to the internet then you are legally and legitimately just as much a journalist as anybody who works for CNN or the Washington Post. Police who don't like me filming them will challenge my journalistic / free press rights and demand to see my "press credentials." Of course there's no such thing as official press credentials in the USA. No government agency issues "press credentials." (Except for like the White House or Pentagon press corps, which are exceptions.) Big newspapers or news networks print their own press ID cards for their reporters. I work for myself, so I print my own ID cards for just in case of some cop who doesn't understand press rights of citizens and demands to see my press credentials. Anyways, I print my press ID cards on heavy card stock paper with a color laser printer, and use a paper cutter to size them to fit in these clip-on plastic ID card holders. The card holders are clear, strong, robust, and professional-looking. The metal clip is good quality too. Holds the card in the holder securely to my pocket, collar, or wherever I clip it onto my clothing. They keep my press cards nice and dry when I'm outside in the rain, as well.

Came bent - it could have been packaged better. However, they seem to have straightened out with time. They work well as props (id badges) for a Mission Control costume. Appear sturdy.

This is the perfect way to protect your credentials when working in hostile dirty or dusty environments. I am a Painter and I work in dusty, dirty environments. I often spray paints with an Airless spray system. My credentials are protected at all times. I highly recommend this product to all contractors.
