Prevents backfeeding on marine DC lighting circuits
Switching lights from multiple locations can be challenging for the DIY (but experienced) marine electrician. You can wire a "hallway" set-up, similar to what you might do in a house. You can get fancy and use latching relays but this is complex and expensive. I've learned to use these diodes in DC lighting circuits. You can design circuits that switch from multiple locations and prevent current from back feeding into wiring where it's not desired. Navigation lights, anchor lights and courtesy lights come to mind. These diodes are a little overkill for what I use them for but they work great and are inexpensive.

Great diodes for any electronics project
Was able to pull over 200w out of a full-wave rectifier using these and electrolytic capacitors; doubled the voltage and held stable under loads. Used 13vAC got 19vDC under 200w load with small transformer (less than 2lbs/1kg maybe 120w rated) yes the transformer got hot after a minute, but for a test that is what I needed to see. Also hooked up another rectifier to a 1200w transformer (about 12lbs/4kg) and the diodes worked great( yes they got warm) Great buy, will re-order.

Great for my tuck project
Worked as advertised. Arrived earlier than estimated time of arrival. Only needed one so the ten pack was plenty. Used them to install some extra reverse lights on my truck. Wanted to run the lights with a switch, but also automatically activate when I put the truck into reverse and these do the job perfectly.

Excellent for auto, but voltage drops
These worked great! Used in a car to wire up an accessory switch for the radio with backfeeding power into the rest of the accessory circuit.Beware...these caused about a 1V voltage drop. (From 14v to 13v when car is running)

Price was great. good quality. Shipping time was slow but as i did not pay for fast shipping it was not too bad, it actually arrived a week sooner than expected. no complaints

very useful power diode
my particular application is to connect two power supplies together in parallel to deliver more current but employing the diodes to avoid back-feed or harm to each supply, my soldering process applied much heat to them but they endured it and worked perfectly afterwards, these diodes do the job
