Is the bottom interior of the bowl smooth or ridged?

It is smooth and well worth the money. Use in church for hand washing during communion.

Is this bowl solid stainless steel? I would like to drill a small hole in the lip to hang it on the wall. I have the 20 quart Winco bowl.

I think so, I bought it for my mother in law last Christmas. It still looks in petegect condition and she bakes daily.

Not at all. I have a feeling those 18" measurements may refer to the packaging. The bowl is at another house, so I don't have it at hand to measure, but I'd say maybe it's about 8-9" deep . . .
