Great boots for all around yard wear.
Though these boots are normally seen on fishermen on boats in Alaska, they are perfect for working around the yard in New England especially in the fall. They keep your feet dry and free from ticks and other pesky insects. I found the boots to be comfortable all day to rake leaves, clean the garden out of seasonal plants and prepare the yard for winter. Your feet do not slop around in the boot and it is easy to keep them on when driving pickups and tractors. Years ago when I lived in Juneau AK it seemed like everyone wore them everywhere; shopping, working, fishing. I remembered them being called "Juneau Tennies". Glad to have them now in my first winter in New England.

Super boots - same brand that you see people on TV wearing!
If you wear a size 11 1/2 buy the size 12 because of your socks. These are super comfortable and high-quality boots. I wear them fishing, in my boat, washing the truck, anytime I am near water.

You get what you get
I was so torn about whether or not to buy Xtratuf again after the last pair, but I found this black pair and really wanted black rain boots. It sucks because they’re SO comfortable, I love the arch and ankle support and I love them being neoprene and not rubber, but like everyone says, their quality has significantly decreased since they began to manufacture overseas. My last pair leaked the first time I wore them. My feet never actually got wet but you could hear the water squishing around inside the soles. They were from the Salmon Sisters line and more flimsy neoprene than my boyfriend’s so I thought maybe they were just a different design. These are definitely more stiff than the Salmon Sisters legacy boot I have. Not sure why they would do that but whatever. I wish I had taken a picture now but I wanted to fix them before I wore them … these boots have cotton twine sealed inside the bottom edge of the soles, and both boots had the ends of that twine hanging out about a quarter inch on the heel. I’d never seen that before. I thought it was strange it was on both boots, having that string hanging out would create a wick for water to get inside the the sole. What’s the point of them being triple dipped if they’re going to have actual water wicks sticking out on the heels? I burnt them off as far as I could, wiped down the area with rubbing alcohol and smoothed a dot of Shoe Goo over where they were sticking out. It’s not in a flexible area so I hope it holds. My Salmon Sisters were like $56 on Amazon in late 2022 so I wasn’t super heartbroken when they turned out to be junk but I paid full price for these black legacy boots. I’m assuming other pairs will have this same weird wick in the back. That should not be there. I’m keeping them because I do like them, I just think the price point doesn’t make sense if the quality has tanked so much, and I don’t expect them to last a super long time. I haven’t worn them near water yet, if I see bubbles, I’ll be back. Other than that, yes they are super comfortable and I absolutely love the color

The gold standard in dry feet!
Work just as they are supposed to, dry feet on the boat and in the woods.

Comfortable
Having dry feet when it's wet and walking comfortably all day is priceless.

Uncomfortable
The boot itself seems fine and has been holding up. I gave it 3 stars because there is a hump in the middle of the foot where the heel of the boot starts, that's on both boots. After a few hours of working in them my feet are very sore. Had to buy different boots, and I only use this if I need to get real muddy and wet.

comfortable boots
Good fit and comfortable to wear. The shafts are narrow so it's a bit difficult to get them off and on. The soles also pick up a lot of gravel.
