Works really well. Goes through several layers of cardboard. Shoots accurately. Fun to use. We plan to use it for target shooting.

It feels great to have that extra layer of protection to carry around. Don’t have to worry about anyone trying to mess with you when you have this bad boy on you and I also bought a holster to use with it. I bought the black model and it looks like the real deal no one is going to know that this is a less lethal gun cause it looks lethal haha. Im very happy with my purchase this is worth the money to have that protection especially now days when everyone is crazy you need to protect yourself and this is the legal way to do it.

This gun looks real and has quite a bit of power. Shot through a 1 1/2” thick kneeling pad.

I am glad I haven't had to use it, but as a Father I can say I rather use this in self-defense than catch a murder charge for protecting my own. Now this is not to say I do not walk around with the real deal but for someone who is constantly on alert mode especially with the craziness of the world at the moment. I will say just the sight of one alone will make people reconsider their actions.It is worth the amount of money spent as it cost about the same as a real gun that is on the cheaper end. The size is amazing , & the feel is nice. I love the Accuracy & the weight of it is just right it feels like my personal carry & honestly speaking the build & quality of it is nice. I am honestly thinking of getting another one.

Wish I bought the LE on Byrna's website. I ended up ordering the parts to upgrade this SD to LE, but I've read it's still not as powerful even then. It's not returnable, so that is a regret. I could've bought this SD gun for less on Byrna's site, or at least the LE for less than this plus the upgrades. I have to use up all my 8oz CO2 now before upgrading, because they won't work with the extender once installed (unless there is a spacer available?) Partly my fault for not investigating my options. It is easy to operate. I've only shot ECO rounds through it so far. Gun operation is smooth and simple. Trigger pull is harder than I imagined, though, so I wouldn't recommend for anyone with a weak grip. ECO balls blasted through both layers of a sturdy cardboard box from 25 feet away. Not sure what I think about this as a self defense tool. I have MAX rounds ready for that purpose, though.

90% of it is bad. So, I'll start with the ad.The ad says free returns, however I didn't know until I tried to return it, you can only return it if it arrives in a unworking condition/broken. So make sure that you definitely want the over sized, overweight & overpriced Byrna.The price: At $429.99 for all that we are about to mention is WAY overpriced in comparison to other brands and quality. I realize that it it my fault for not doing more research, but this is a learning curve for me.After testing this model out and being almost completely dissatisfied, I purchased the Umarex T4E Walther PPQ .43 caliber and WOW WHAT A DIFFERENCE! The PPQ is smaller (more compact) quieter, ALOT LIGHTER, ALOT CHEAPER ($188.97) better quality, better looking (identical to the real deal) and you don't need to special order a holster for it because it's the exact specs of the real deal.After unsuccessfully attempting to buy a holster for the Byrna at a Academy & a gun shop, I realized that I would have to special order a holster from Byrna. Like I said, way too bulky.I contacted Byrna and asked them if they manufactured a smaller/compact model, and they told me "unfortunately no." So I asked if I could return it and was denied.I was finally able to sell it for HALF of what I paid.The Walther PPQ is half of the weight of the Byrna, which is a huge deal if you plan on carrying it, which why wouldn't you?DO YOUR RESEARCH!CHECK OUT THE UMAREX T4E WALTHER PPQ BEFORE YOU BUY THIS MODEL.Remember, no returns on this one, good luck!
