Yes. the device produces no heat, just wash the kongs and toss them in the sterilizer. The unit has an 8 minute, and a 30 minute setting works very well. Hope this was helpful.

Is the ozone produced from the bulb or a sparate generator? replacement bulb says without ozone.

Ozone is produced by light bulbs. There is a gift bulb in some cabinets. Gift bulbs only produce ultraviolet rays, not ozone. Bulbs that only generate ultraviolet light also have a sterilization function. Only some lucky customers will get extra bulbs.
