Is the switch rechargeable?

The switches are EnOcean enabled meaning they do not require batteries and instead use energy harvesting technology.  When pushing the switch on or off this charges the switch to send wireless information to the relay receiver to turn on or off.

Do you sell the old school switches?  I don’t want to mismatch the light switches if at all possible. Thanks.

We do not sell 'old school' switches.  
The old-school switches do not work in our kits as their technology behind the wall would not be able to WIRELESSLY 'talk' to the receiver-part of the kit that turns the light or fan on and off.  This kit contains a RECEIVER that is hard-wired to the light or fan as well as 2 switches that wirelessly tell the Receiver to turn the unit on or off. The 'old school' switches do not have the wireless capability.  (We also have a kit with one receiver and one Wireless switch.)
The good thing about this kit is that you can change a single-old-fashioned switch and light configuration OR even a pull-chain light to a 3 way switch with 2 switches to control the light WITH NO PULLING WIRES OR RIPPING OUT WALLS OR DOING COMPLEX WIRING CONFIGURATIONS.
The choice is yours to choose rewiring or pulling wires or such OR using our wireless technology.

Question 3

can the switch be installed out doors if in weather proof bx

Accepted Answer

The switches themselves are indoor switches, but if the switches and the remote control are installed in the weather proof boxes it should be ok. There is no electricity going to the switches so even if they get wet, no shock hazard.

why so expensive, are there cheaper options available?

It is totally worth it. I had two lights with pull chains in a closet, and I installed and had these working in 20 minutes. The wall switch has no battery, it looks good, and it has a very satisfying click when you push. I just used 3m command strips to attach the wall switch.
