Comes with sealed bearings and 2 crown races.
Installed and adjusted easily. Plus it has a nice look to it. The two crown races means you get the one you need.

Nice quality headset
This headset installed easily for me and works great. It comes with 2 sizes for the crown race seat. 26.4, the more common size, and 27.0, the Japanese standard size. You just use the one appropriate size race for your fork.

Doesn't work great
Can't get it to a proper level of compression that doesn't seize up handlebar turn. Pricey for a headset without sealed bearings - even with the 1" spec in mind. There are better offerings for lower prices.

Better than I excepted
Glad I went with a origin8 headset

Good value, a bit clunky-looking
It can be intimidating installing a headset on a frame for the first time. Park Tool has a very thorough headset installation guide on their website, although it does give the impression that you need to buy a few hundred dollars worth of their tools to get the job done. Many of these tools can be improvised if you search for methods online. If you have a bicycle co-op in your area, I'd recommend going there first to see if they have the proper tools that you can use. As for the headset itself, I've had it for three months and it still steers smoothly, even after a minor spill that tweaked my handlebars 15 degrees off-center. The races protruding out of the top and bottom of the headtube look... big and sort of ugly. There are definitely nicer options available, but at the time I had other components in mind that took priority. This works just fine for now.

perfect for old school revamp
perfect for old school revamp, I have an older mountain bike and it has a threaded 1 inch system, I bought a 1 inch thread less fork and this headset, it fits and works perfect, now I have an old school bike with a thread less front end, so it opens up a variety of stem options and handle bar options, I did use a shim in the stem so I can fit 1 and 1/8 stem. I will buy again from this company, fast shipping and nice package, I am an old school bike builder and would like to see these companies add stickers(for tool box and shop door etc) to the item like back in the day, only few company still do this

Se ajusta perfecto a la tubería de bicis retro que llevan tijeras de 1 in.
