Bring ketchup
This is pretty good if you have ketchup with it. Tastes just like french fries.

Heat in water before consuming
It had a good taste, however it had a little too "wet" texture in my opinion

Interesting... Worth trying for the novelty factor
Overall, I gave it 4 stars- it did what we wanted.I would give it 3 Stars for the food experience:Taste wasn't great, consistency was goopy, and it's just food in a tube.I would give it 5 Stars for Novelty factor. We celebrated Yuri's Night with this stuff. 5 tubes of strange Russian astronaut foods. They were not bad. We did not expect them to be better than the originals. We wanted to have a fun experience trying something strange and different and space-themed. Mission accomplished. I don't know if we'll try it again, but it was a fun night. We tried these with crackers. The french fries did not really taste like fries. I'm not sure what they tasted like, but it was just a white fluffy paste to me. The way they come out of the tube reminds me of a disgusting pimple popping. Goo squirts out. It does not look appetizing. Crackers helped make it edible. Astronauts and Cosmonauts must have iron stomachs to eat this stuff. After watching videos of them in training in centrifuges and flying platforms and dangling from cables, I guess they do have iron stomachs. If you want to try a strange foreign food in a tube for a space-themed party, go ahead and give this a try. The one I did not get, and want to get, is the borscht in a tube. That sounds.... peculiar.

Surprisingly Really Good!
The french fries are really good. Heating it up is important. They even did a good job of salting for taste. I'm really impressed and will purchase again. The manufactured date is embossed on the bottom of the tube...I bought 4 kinds and the oldest one I received was 5 months old. Would be fun for kids, or fun adults like my wife and I. The tube is robust so it would be a little hard to squeeze for a kid. Pics are of several different kinds.
