After being disappointed by many body scrubs that were not rough or gritty enough , I decided to get this hand held body brush. I love my long handle eco tools, it does great for the back, but when you are doing from the ankle up its nice to have something without a long handle. The only downside to this brush is it is very rough/sharp, and this is coming from someone who loves a rough scrub that leaves you red. The bristles are very poky, I would not buy this for my mom or someone elderly, it would wreak havoc on their skin. I do not think you would use this one as a dry brush to help with cellulite or blood flow either. I think having it wet in the shower with body wash buffers the pure scratchiness of it. Very scratchy, and again, I prefer a non soft bristle brush, and this is a little too scratchy. I will continue to use it for now. Can't beat the price. Not all eco tools are this scratchy fyi.

So by nature this is not a soft product, it is for buffing dead skin off before the shower. It’s a dry body brush so is rough to the skin, but like on purpose. This has significantly reduced the amount of ingrown hairs I have, and I didn’t have a lot to begin with. Would recommend working this into your weekly routine.

This was recommended by Sara Day who is a health and fitness blogger and is AMAZING. I used this before I got in the shower, in addition using an in-shower sugar scrub as well. This helped buff off the dead skin these terrible MI winter days have caused me as of recent. 10/10 would recommend.

I’m glad the wood part is bamboo I suppose. The bristles are a bit rougher than a boar or horse hair brush. Don’t let the hype fool you though, especially the brand name. The bristles are plastic - plastic is not eco friendly unless it’s totally made from recycled plastic and will be disposed of for recycling only. Cruelty-free is another abused marketing term here. This item would not be tested on animals, so what animals are actually being “saved” here from torture or death? Boar hair or horse hair is about as inhumane a production as any other animal on the mass market. Boars are trapped in the wild, but for mass production are bred just like MOST cows, chickens, sheep, pigs, rabbits, etc. Some boar-hair is claimed to be “shaved” without killing them. It’s perhaps rare the boar is bred only for its bristle-hair, the industry has plenty of uses for the rest of the animal like all other animals bred for production. 100% vegan? I’m always curious how many vegans substitute fossil-fueled-synthetics for animal by-products, or why they would. The marketing hype here is not any different than using the term “natural” (which no longer means much). So how is plastic eco friendly or cruelty-free in terms of fossil fuels needed to make it? This kind of marketing works when people accept it without thinking about it. If you want to save the boar why not the cows, chickens, sheep, pigs, rabbits, or the planet? Unfortunately I am not convinced EcoTools is helping boar, or the planet - this is complete shype.

It took FOREVER to ship (and then it got lost in the mail, which I know is not the seller's faults). However, it's worth the wait! The bristles are the perfect stiffness! The first couple of times your skin might feel a bit irritated, but that's pretty normal. Make sure to hidrate after brushing and showering.

I really like this body brush. I've never used one before but this is really helping me get softer skin. It's very course and took a few days to get used to and kind of hurt in the beginning but now that I've used it for almost a week it feels nice and there's a big improvement in how my legs feel. The handle is super easy to hold on to and I haven't dropped it yet while using it. Make sure you read the directions!

OK, i got the long-handled bath brush version recently, was unwrapping it on my bed when my big maine coon cat hopped up and started rubbing his face on it. Now he has his own fine wire brush for dealing with his thick long fur, but i can't brush his face with it. I thought, i wonder if they make a short handled version so i can brush my kitty's face and ears, etc. A few seconds later i found this dry brush on amazon, and zim zam it's on the way. So many reviewers said it was too hard, not good for sensitive skin, but others raved. I figured if it was similar to the bath brush, kitty would love it. haha, it arrived yesterday and i had to try it first. I LOVE THIS DRY BRUSH! I am a woman of a "certain age." I exfoliate in the shower with sponges, exfoliating gloves, various expensive potions with assorted AHAs, lactic acid, etc. I slather on moisturizers and serums, and thought my skin was pretty good for being old. I was wrong! I was shocked at how much dry skin started coming off my arms with the dry brush. I kept brushing until i was smooth as silk. I'm almost 70 and it was not too rough for me at all, i actually like how it invigorates. I love it on arms, legs and feet especially. I'm keeping this for myself (and ordering another for my cat). I highly recommend it unless you have super sensitive skin. I mean, you can vary the pressure and how vigorously you brush. Also, it seems very well-made. Check it out.

Best body dry brush I've ever used! I have sensitive skin so other brushes would break and irritate my skin, this is softest one I've ever used and the results are finally showing because I can be consistent finally!

Been doing some research on dry brushing and wanted to find the perfect brush for my first time and hopefully keep it as a new good habit. This brush is great, no bristles have fallen yet and the roughness is just right to brush your entire body consistently. The brush is tough enough to remove the excess dry skin for every other day use but not too rough that it will irritate my skin. A hot shower and good moisturizer feel amazing after dry brushing. And don't forget to wash your brush with baby shampoo at least twice a month!

I was looking to get rid of plastic loofas and exfoliating gloves and I came across this. Never used a dry brush before but after ordering and trying this, the exfoliation from this product is excellent and far better than what I’ve been using. I have sensitive skin and I was concerned about irritation but the bristles are soft enough to be gentle but firm enough to benefit my skin. Just used medium pressure in upward strokes, jumped into the shower, used a moisturizing body wash, air dried and applied moisturizer. At the end of the day, my skin still feels smooth!
