EntryGard 4-7/16" Window Crank Handle 20810 | No. 15 Series Dual-Arm Casement | Window Crank Replacement | E-Gard, Left Hand

This is an Exact replacement for Marvin 40471 window crank from my 1993 era windows. Be Sure and choose the Right or Left handed version that matches your own! See my attached photo comparison of my old and the new, these are the exact replacement - I'm very happy with this! I can see now how to prevent these from breaking in the first place, when they get harder to crank open, just by lubricating all the gears, shaft, etc. I have about 25 windows with these and had noticed over time they were getting harder to turn after 30+ years, which finally one of them gave way and broke. So now I have lubricated all of them - and now they all turn So Much easier! ...which in hindsight if I had lubricated them before, no doubt it would not have forced it to get broken. These were easy to replace = take off the handle, plastic cover, and pry up and out the bottom wood casement with a thin sharp prybar, and shimmy lift it out one side first and then out. Then remove the six screws and replace crank with this new one, and then reverse procedure to install. Took 5 minutes. Works perfectly, thank you!

Fit perfectly! It is great to be able to open & close the windows again. The crank operates smoothly and the arm stays in the track. I'm ordering the right hinge crank for the other window. Make sure you order the correct side - this one is used for a window when standing outside has a left handed hinge. Keep your old handle and cover plate. It doesn't come with them.

Entry Gard 4 7/16” casement window opener! Operator work fine as a replacement, but there was no new mounting screws supplied!
