For what itโs meant for, itโs really nice
First, this isnโt a safe. Itโs just a box with combo locks, meant to deter snoopy people. It wonโt do anything against a determined entrant, and the label reminds you of that, before you go and use it to hold your gold bricks. This oneโs marketed as fitting under the bed, comes with a cable that normally costs extra so you can secure it to a fixed object, and is aimed at college students to deter nosy roomies. Wish I had this when I was in college... I already have one in a different configuration, oriented for files; the combination locks were easy to set and work just fine, so I wanted another for larger, horizontally oriented items. This one stacks easily with other stuff, and if positioned with locks facing inward, just looks like an instrument case or something. It was easy to set the locks on this one, too; they worked perfectly right away. Iโm not in and out of this box daily, so I canโt say how well theyโll hold up, but Iโve accessed my other one at least thirty times without a problem so far. I like the tactical black color scheme; it really is subtle, doesnโt draw attention to the box. Havenโt used the cable. I didnโt love that it only has one hinge inside, but they put a notch for the cable on the other side instead of a hinge. Weโll see if that was a good idea in the long run or not; Iโm hoping I donโt have to get into this thing all the time, in that case. Iโd rather have had the two hinges for increased stability. Still, the hinge thatโs there is sturdy enough, holds the lid open by itself when fully extended. Itโs a bit stiff, doesnโt want to fold back easily, but thatโs intentional so it will keep the lid up when you want it to. Lots of capacity. I can fit everything I need to in here. I like this for an emergency boxโnot fireproof or anything, but something you grab when you have to leave, where you keep spare meds, important docs, etc. Itโs not going to survive if you donโt get to take it with you, but it would come in handy if you had to evacuate, would give you a modicum of privacy for your stuff in a shelter or motel. Iโm torn between this and a vertically oriented one for that use, thoughโthis one needs both hands for you to carry it properly, esp if itโs not empty, while vertical design is a one-hand grab. The other reason I like it is when having work done in house, or home showings; it gives me an easy place to stash bills and receipts and things I donโt want to fall into the wrong hands, safely away from prying eyes. It can fit a laptop easily, even a big one, and still has room for more; could probably stack 3 average laptops in one of these if you had to. A useful device. I donโt like keyed ones, as a person who loses keys but can remember a number code; if youโre better with keys, they make those kinds, too.

Secure box for knives
This is a dual locking box that is easy to set the combinations. No keys required. Just make sure you write them down. It is easy to open, and each of the 2 locks could be set to different combos to make it less easily guessed. I am using this for very sharp knives that I want to keep away from children. It is wide enough to accommodate even my longest bread knife, deep enough to be able to see exactly where everything is and not get hurt rummaging through. This is lightweight, so if someone really wanted what was inside they could break through the material. My purpose was to keep things out of sight and give another barrier to access of little kids. It provides that extra security I was looking for. It is sturdy and well made though, with reinforcement along edges and corners. It could easily be stacked.

Good size box, mediocre construction
We needed to lock all sharp objects in the house. What I liked about this product is the whole kitchen knife block fits in it, including all the knives in the block. Thereโs lots of space around the knife block for miscellaneous items as well. The construction of the whole box is mediocre, anyone with enough determination could find a way to break the box. For us, itโs enough of a deterrent and itโs great to only need the one box to hold our sharp objects.

It's basically a large, kinda-flimsy briefcase.
Despite the title, I gave the product five stars because it is exactly what it appears to be ... but nothing more than that. It's basically a large briefcase, without the thicker walls or internal dividers, etc. The aluminum framing/bracing is "OK" and both well-fitted and riveted to the polymer wall material, which is pretty rigid/solid, but don't mistake this thing for any kind of high-end "security" storage container. It's durable enough to discourage the average "lookie-loo" from poking around in whatever personal effects you want to keep in it, and you can use the cable to anchor it to some fixed object so it can't be easily carried off, but once you "jimmy" the locks (and I think anyone could probably do that pretty easily with a large screwdriver and a little well-placed leverage), the case is open, the "security cable" becomes useless and whatever you stored in it is history. Good product, minimal security value/function, a bit overpriced I think, but not so much that I'd ding the manufacturer a star. I got what I saw/ordered/paid for.

Great if you have the right expectations
This was perfect for my uses, very easy to set up, sturdy, plenty of room, and looks nice. There's no way it's going to prevent someone who really wants in from getting in though. I'm pretty sure it could be broken into with force in a couple minutes, or in less than an hour by someone just trying combinations, but if it's just meant to offer a small deterrence, then I think it accomplishes that job admirably.

Cheap, flimsy, lock code fails after a year
Lock stopped working after a year for no apparent reason with my items locked inside. The code no longer functioned out of the blue. Luckily, I could pry into the box with my bare hands, since the box is not all that sturdy. The black textured exterior is a very thin layer on top of super thin particleboard. Waste of money. Keep looking and/or spend a bit more for a better quality box.

great case for casual storage but not strong enough to protect valuables.
As a container for general storage, it works pretty well. However, there are a few things to be wary about when considering one of these vaultz storage boxes. In the past, I bought the VZ00121 model box (12L x7.6H x 8W inches) and it's a really well-made box with the only downside being the finicky generic small key that requires more than a 360-degree turn to unlock. But after buying this box and a full black version of the same size box, I realized that the quality dropped in certain aspects. Pros: -simple locks. spin the combo and slide the square knobs sideways -looks professional with minimal branding -light and easy to carry -inside cloth material is pretty soft and protective -nice small hinge to hold the lid up -easy to change the password Cons: -the rivets that hold the corner frames feel like they can easily pop out -the combination lock is super wobbly and loose with barely any noticeable click feedback that lets people know that the number is slotted correctly. it feels like a brittle metal material -not all cases have the same issue, but the glue that was probably used to stick the inner cloth may be stuck to the combination lock hatch. As shown in the screenshots, i struggled to pry open one of the hatches due to a gel-like substance. other than that, the hatches flip out smoothly. Things to consider: -the center area of the walls is pretty flexible and slightly flimsy. The material is a grippy solid plastic texture that feels like the same level of protection as a travel suitcase. Not the worst, not the best. -If you want a more secure vaultz box, the VZ00121 model I mentioned is a lot sturdier than this box. The key padlock has a much better build quality compared to the combination locks (despite the simple key design). Additionally, due to the smaller size, the walls are much firmer and more solid. the only missing feature for the VZ00121 model is not having a metal wire to secure the box -Handles are only on the width side of the box. meaning you can't carry it horizontally like a suitcase or from the top. at least it provides handles on both sides making it easy to pull out from under the bed. -There are no dividers to sort the contents of the box, so as long as it's not something too fragile, the box should be able to protect the contents -The corners of the boxes have rubber feet so it's not suitable to slide out from solid floors, but it still easily slides out from carpet grounds. At least the rubber feet prevent the metal/ plastic materials from scratching hard wood surfaces. If the combination lock had a better build quality, I would've given this item a 5-star rating, but it just had to have a cheap lock that made it feel less secure and reliable. Overall, nice box for storage with entry-level security. It works out pretty well for storing camera gear and electronic devices, but it also requires buying packaging foam to make it truly protective.

Bought this one year ago
I bought this at May 2, 2023, I have used it to hid my passport, my important documents, and to hide my personal journal from my mom, I have forgotten the password and was about to break it and get a new one, until I saw a YouTube video on how to open the lock, you just have to roll the lock while keeping your finger on the button heading outwards, until you find the right combination and the lock pops open immediately, and it only took 6 minutes, I was shocked, it's a good case, it's durable and tough, but it only works if your trying to keep out kids off your stuff, a detriment adult would make a security breach, I think maybe an electronic lock might be a better option for me, but over all this box is very good and I Don't regret buying it at all, maybe I will buy some more to keep things away from children, but it is NOT 100% safe, yet it is a very good buy.

fragile not strong. locks below standard.
One lock opens other doesn't. So can't open box. Plus it looks like solid box. Plastic or very thin aluminium. Not at all secure. Can be cut into easily or a hard punch woukd break it.
