I will say this is not at all like the lego brand lego books. My son is 12 years old and is very good at putting legos together. He struggled a lot with the steps and directions on how to get this together. With that being said, he was able to get it together. However, it took days to do this off brand kit, not hours like the lego brand takes him to do a kit. The legos themselves with this kit do snap together and stay together, so that was a plus. The remote seems to work well with the Jeep vehicle. We have not experienced it over heating like another review stated. It seems to run fine and is a fun toy once you get it together.

Arrived broken

My son Brady really like these lego type builds where you can drive them around like little rc cars afterwards. This was a surprise gift for him and he put it together in a day and was all excited to show me how he could remove the top and make it a convertible haha! His little brother is following him of course. Safe to say this is a hit. Came it a well organized building box too that make it easier for him to keep all the parts together. The bags are also labelled so you can do one at a time.
